Dear brother Walid,
I would have liked to have sent you a letter in private, but since I don’t have your personal address and since your first message to me was public, I must reply publicly.
Walid, I want you to know that I love you in our Lord Jesus Christ with an unconditional love.
I don’t understand why you attacked me publicly, since you don’t know me or the work the Lord has given me. I am easy to reach through many channels—agents, publisher, even through my co-writer or through a comment on my blog—and I was deeply hurt that you did not try, because no one has any record of any kind of message from you. Nevertheless, I want you also to know that I forgive you with all my heart, and I hope that you will not suffer too much hurt in any backlash for what you have done.
We are both Palestinians from a Muslim background, and we are both followers of the Prince of peace and love. I propose that we take this opportunity to turn to good what the devil meant for evil. That we show our brothers and sisters and the rest of the world how brothers in Christ resolve their differences. What you and I share in Christ is much stronger than any personal, political, or national agenda. When we surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ, our new identity became one of unconditional love, forgiveness, and sacrifice.
Let me share a little of my heart with you, my brother.
As you know, if you read my book, I come from a deep Islamic heritage, from a family that practices, teaches, and spreads Islam. I am a Palestinian who spent several years in Israeli jails, who was tortured and beaten almost to death by angry Israeli soldiers. Yet, Christ pursued me until I “found him” and accepted his challenge to forgive and love my enemies. This was very hard for me to do and took a long time. For nearly ten years, I worked for Israeli intelligence, dealing with cool guys and really bad guys, moderate soldiers and fanatics, humanitarians, and racists. Are there racist Israelis? Yes, there are, just as there are Hamas racists.
During that time, I decided to become a follower of Jesus Christ. As you know, my home of Ramallah is a Christian town. My best friends were Christians, and my dad had a very good relationship with them. But most were cultural Christians who never showed me the love of Christ. Instead, their hypocritical lifestyles were a stumbling block to me.
But when I encountered the love of Jesus and heard his unbelievable philosophy of life, my heart was touched. Unlike you, Walid, I was exposed to the worst examples of Christians, both at home and here in the United States. Men and women who profess to follow Jesus but have no idea of what it means to be free in him, living by God’s grace through his beloved Son.
When I was isolated, alone, poor, broken, disowned by my own family, instead of being embraced by the Church, I was oppressed by my Christian brother’s and sisters, who doubted me and questioned my faith—both in Ramallah and in California. So you can understand that I did not see a promising future with Christians of any denomination.
Despite the rejection and my disappointment and discouragement, I have held onto my faith in Christ alone. He has been the only motivation for everything I have done in my life—in the Shin Bet, in my decision to leave the Shin Bet and come to America, and in everything I have done since I arrived.
Can you imagine what it was like for me, a very young man, in the intense environment of which I described only a tiny fraction in my book? Can you think what it was like for a man in his twenties, going through every kind of mental and spiritual change you can think of, to put away the worst bad guys in Israel and save countless Jewish, Palestinian, and American lives?
And I had no one to share the victories, miracles, and heartbreaks with except my Jesus. Alone with Jesus behind closed doors.
I also learned a lot during those years. I didn’t have a father to teach me things I needed to know about life. My father loves me, and I love him. But he has spent most of his life in prison for his beliefs. So I raised myself, as well as my brothers and sisters.
I learned on my own, the very hard way, that extremist Israelis were no less dangerous than extremist Palestinians. Israelis are not the problem, and Palestinians are not the problem. Extremism is the problem. A racist Palestinian is no different than a racist Israeli. Racism is the problem. Greed and corruption are the problems, not greedy or corrupt Israelis or Palestinians. Gonen and I used to talk with other Shin Bet agents, what if we swap Palestinian leaders and Israeli leaders? Will there be peace? And we all agreed that there would be no difference, because they would still fight for their selfish goals, because they were selfish and corrupt, not because they were Jews or Arabs.
We are all human. We all have the same enemies. And we all suffer from the same problems.
My experiences caused me to question my religion, to question everything about it. And I discovered that religions are dangerous. Religion steels freedom, kills creativity, turns us into slaves and against one another. Yes, I am talking about Christianity as well as Islam. Most Christians I have seen seem to have missed the point that Jesus redeemed us from religion. Religion is nothing but man’s attempts to get back to God. Whether it is Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, animism, any ism. Religion can’t save mankind. Only Jesus could save mankind through his death and resurrection. And Jesus is the only way to God.
A week after I told Haaretz journalist Avi Issacharoff my story, he called and said I forgot to ask you about your denomination. And he was surprised when I told him I don’t have any denomination, only my identity in Christ.
This is why I don’t accept financial support from anyone, even when I was hungry and homeless. Yes, people sent me checks. And I forwarded every penny to churches and charities, so that no religious group or political party could impose their agendas on the bridge-building work God has given me to do.
You and I both escaped the bondage of a scary, dark captivity, brother Walid. Let’s be grateful for it. We have no reason to fight one another. I personally have nothing left to lose. I have already lost the most important things on earth. And my reputation is torn apart everyday by one side that hates me because they think I am a Zionist and the other side that hates me because they think I am a Palestinian extremist.
I am neither. I try to love all people without expecting anything from anyone, the way the Lord Jesus Christ loves me.
We live in a world that is full of deception, doubt, fear, and hopelessness. People have enough bad news. They need hope and love. And our duty to our people in Israel, the Palestinian territories, and the rest of the world is to show them Christ’s love and give them his hope.
Part of my message to the world is in the love between me and Sarah Stern—founder of the Endowment for Middle East Truth, former national policy coordinator for the Zionist Organization of America, and director of the Office of Legislative and Governmental Affairs of the National Jewish Congress—who calls me her son … a Jewish mother and a Palestinian son! It is the love between me and Gonen ben Itzhak—once Jewish intelligence agent/handler and Palestinian prisoner, now brothers who lay down our lives for one another.
What could bring us together? Only the love of God. And I pray that the love of God will bring you and me together, brother Walid.
l love you in Christ,
Mosab Hassan Yousef
I am so glad to see this post and I hope that you and Walid can talk and reconcile. I must tell you that in my clumsy efforts to try to see things fairly, I caused my dear friend Walid a great deal of hurt. I have known him for many years and he has never wavered in his story. I have no reason to disbelieve him, and I am sorry if my previous posts gave that impression.
I have a deep concern for Christians who come out of Islam, and the witness of reconciliation with the Jews and Israel speaks more profoundly than any bible quote. Without that witness, any conversion ignores the herd of elephants in the room! And that is how I first got to know Walid.
He was the only, and I mean the ONLY arab convert who had the guts to say he was from Israel, and not refer to it as Palestine. There are too many Christians from Muslim background who have been killed for their faith to allow the two of you to continue to be at odds.
I have Walid’s personal email, but I will not share it without his permission.
Dear Brother Mosab,
In reading your letter here, I happened to notice that you wrote “Unlike you, Walid, I was exposed to the worst examples of Christians, both at home and here in the United States. Men and women who profess to follow Jesus but have no idea of what it means to be free in him, living by God’s grace through his beloved Son.”
I want you to know that I am one of those who used to be a cultural Christian, and I would ask your forgiveness for being a stumbling block to you. When it comes down to it, I didn’t really live my love for Christ like His Word called me to, and I would like you to know that do not take my faith that lightly anymore especially when I am called by Jesus to intercede for America.
I am praying for you and brother Walid that your reconciliation as brothers-in-Christ would be swift and would be to the glory of God.
In Christ’s Love,
Daniel
I’m praying that the Spirit of God will bring you two together to talk. Thank you Jesus for loving all of us!
ABsolutely beautiful. Here it is, Shabbat. I was working today and I remembered what I heard on GlC.us.com. Shabbat is a time where we need to STOP with all our doing and learn to listen and hear from Yahweh; so that we can begin to know his heart. As I think back on the time as it drew near for Y’shua to lay his life down for us, I’m reminded that he did and said things relating to forgiving. I really think so much of our faith boils down to just that. On the one hand, I feel it was unfair to expect Mosab to be so mature that he would not say anything against Walid. When he said things, true or not, it hurt. On the other hand, I love and respect Walid and his son too. I saw them on GLC and I winced at the talk of Mosab. All of this is about family. God’s family. All of us have been bought with a price. The very man who delivered Torah in his power and majesty at the mountain, was betrayed by Aaron and the people at the very time he was communing with Moses. Again, Again years later, He laid it all down just so he could bring us all back into joyful fellowship. The world truly needs to see us lay our egos down and seek reunification. That is not easy, of course but we need to trust Him anyway and do it. Thank you Mosab for taking that first step.
Mosab, I’m so thrilled to see you reach the out to Walid. I have read the book that both of you have written and I know that Satan does not want you to both come together in love because the work of the Lord would be magnified. Both of you have made a great impact on my life. I carried your stories to my Sunday school class and they, too, fell in love with you. I printed out all of your pictures and carried them to the class when they were about to send you back Israel. We all prayed for you and rejoiced when you were allowed to stay in our country. Be encouraged. Satan tries to stop all of us, but we only get stronger when we band together. I know that “All things work for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
I just want to say what a blessing that you have been to me. You are my Christian brother, and I love you. Even though I’ve never met you I have all the confidince in the world in you. You know what did it? When you said, “I did not want any religious group or political party to impose their agends on the bridge-building work that God has given me to do.” When I read that I knew you were the real deal.
I also have been blessed by Walid and Gonen and love them, too. I wish you would post more. We all need each other more than ever before. Please, don’t ever feel like you are alone. We are out here that are behind you all the way. You know what? the worst hurt I’ve ever experienced was from my brothers or sisters in Christ. KEEP WALKING! KEEP WORKING FOR THE LORD AND ONE DAY I WILL MEET YOU OVER ON THE OTHER SIDE.
Mosab, you humble me before our God. Your faith and trust in Him is something we should all strive for. I grew up in America and was raised in a safe and comfortable world. Most of us could not take one step in your shoes. God has given you such a great purpose and He has filled you with such an awesome love. I pray that He fills your life with others who love Him as much as you do. Your sister in Christ, Susan
I am disappointed that Walid would go to such extent to speak about you not knowing who you are personally, and without having investigated, but from the things he heard from the media, THE MEDIA of all places! The media, though many a times can contain important information, it is also a propaganda tool.
Even if all his allegations were true, i would not be interested in hearing from Walid since he is or was not your friend, how could he know you?
I read your book, and it was very informative. I do not expect you to be accurate, understanding that everything was through your eyes as an individual. Yet on the other hand, many of the things you have reported is known fact for those who carefully investigate…
I only am sorry that this probably is taking it’s toll. I hope you can get pass this as soon as possible unto more productive things.
Something good is developing…
Mosab and Walid,
Yahewh is calling both of you to speak in the name of his son Y’shua…to each other, and to Islamic “top-rung-of-the-ladder” true believers.

Mosab,
Please take heart in this situation. The reason I say this is that my friend and sister in Christ of 25 years and I had decided to begin praying for our fellow co-workers in our building. Almost as soon as we started taking this opportunity in the morning before we started working, we started arguing and getting annoyed with each other. We even had an incident of yelling at each other! This had NEVER happened before! In 25 years! I wanted to quit meeting in the morning because of my anger and I’m sure she did also! But we both decided to rebuke the enemy instead and be committed and faithful to God’s Will.
The enemy is at work trying to divide and conquer, but he has no power over us. We have the Power of the Most High. I pray that his trickery is seen clearly by Walid – as it appears you have recognized it! It is very possible the Lord has GREAT plans for the two of you and the enemy wants you both distracted.
I know how much you love our Lord – you are a special brother in Christ. I began praying for you when you first spoke your story and I continue to pray for you.
In the Love of our awesome Abba God and King of Kings, Yeshua Hamashiach!
God bless you, Mosab! What a beautiful letter! The thing I most loved about you when reading your book was your heart for Jesus and always wanting to do things according to his teachings. You have done this once again and I will be praying that you will soon receive a positive response from Walid, as it grieved me so to know that two believers were so at odds with each other, especially in such a public forum. God will bring good things out of this — I’m sure of it! Thanks for taking this step.
It hurts to know that you feel so alone. Like Meredith said, many of us really are here for you and are praying for you and your family. Please remember that when the road seems long, ok? God bless you!
Dear Mosab,
I would hope you publish our exchange on your blog as I will publish it on mine. Since many are confused, I think that we should post this dialogue.
Mosab, read carefully. I am not a man who bases my faith on emotion, but I am not immune from hurt either. And this issue pained me greatly. Let’s set the record straight. When some on your blog say to you that they are “glad that you reached out to Walid”, when the truth is—I first tried to reach out to you and our email you posted proves it.
Yet you rejected my call to you in which you expressed in your post insinuating that we wanted to recruit you for a financial agenda. My record proves beyond any doubt that I have always reached out with others who speak for the cause. I have spent over $70,000 on the Forthood massacre event, brought in speakers and paid them there due as required by our Lord, a servant is worthy of his hire. I simply wanted to open an avenue for you to speak at Universities. I have done the same for many others.
Now, your Shen Bet handler has stated I was a fraud, that he checked my records and found nothing. How could he have done this in the last few days, especially when he no longer is a Shen-Bet operative? Now I have to defend myself from his false accusations, which I must do to correct the record. For the first time in my life, you will see indeed that I am no fraud.
I understand quite well that you must also defend yourself . People asked as to why I have not written you privately. I did attempt to contact you through a brother in the past. I have sent Zachariah Izzat, an Egyptian believer and he had exchanges with you which reached nowhere. He was disappointed. In the end, I had concluded you wanted nothing to do with us.
Despite this, I never thought negative of you. I continued to defend you on radio and in churches all over the nation. There are many recording in which I am defending you. I have truly believed in you Mosab. I did not allow our lack of communication to change my views about you.
It was a day when my wife brought a video to view in which you were dressed in the Kaffieh, the very symbol of the Palestinian cause. I ignored it. Then hours later, I had thought to myself, perhaps I should pay attention. When I did, I was saddened of what I saw. Statements that were clearly intended to show that you wanted a Palestinian state.
Mosab, I am not Palestinian. I am not from Palestine. I am a Judean Arab and nothing more. I am not ashamed to say also that I am a true Zionist.
Sure, there are some Jewish extremists, but in no way can you compare the small factions to an onslaught by Arab-Muslim enemies that desires to kill every Jew alive.
I am also keen to the Palestinian-Christian ideology, which comes from the pit of hell. For Brackin to compare the Zionism of God with the Zionism of man, that tanks and armed strength of Israel is “Zionism of man” is a message from the pit of hell.
Such are not your friends; such is the nature of the enemy that uses half-truths. God said that He would bring Israel back to be a great nation. This Mosab also means that God planed for a strong Israel.
While I will reach out to Arabs for the cause of Christ, I am also committed to defend the Zionist state and will fight and give my life to save the Jews. This does not mean that I follow every Jew who is an extremist, for I know well that there are extremists who have even harmed our brethren in Israel. I am not one of those.
Many always portray me as an extremist, yet they can never find a shred of evidence in which I expressed any extreme. They have falsely said things I never stated. I have never once said: “kill all Muslims”. In fact, I reprimanded one speaker once for saying such evil. I love Muslims and I hate Islam.
People are confused. They say that Mosab is still Muslim. Others say “how could he still be Muslim when he condemns Islam”. Others say “Walid is wrong, Mosab is a believer and loves Israel”.
Everyone is trying to figure out Mosab. The reason so many are confused is because they cannot add the missing link—Mosab was influenced by Al-Hayat, which is not Zionist.
Evangelicals in America are predominately Zionists. I don’t think you are Muslim. However, I do believe that you want a Palestinian state, and that you think Israel is an occupation. You have clearly stated this in Arabic. You have also stated much more which was disturbing. Yet you simply say that all this is misunderstood and that I mislead everyone for not “translating the culture”.
This Mosab is not accurate. There is no way that some of your statements in Arabic have been a “cultural mistranslation”. To only collaborate with the Palestinian Authority when Jewish children are to be killed? That there is no 911? That a Palestinian could “loose his life for reporting a terrorist attack” is an excuse?
What happened with love; to lay our lives in order to save the innocent? Instead we are to only save our own hide?
I could have understood it had you stated that you said what you said and that you repent from what you said.
Yet instead, you insinuated that I was in the financial benefit, and so did your handler. That I was collecting with my 800 number? That I did not care about Arabs who suffer?
You never denied that my translation was accurate. Yet I had to deal with a litany of accusations that I was the liar.
You might think I was targeting you. This is far from the truth. I am a man who translates doublespeak by all who express an evil intent. I was the first to translate the works of Feisal Abdel Rauf and exposed him throughout the nation. I was the first to translate Rashad Hussein’s intent to interfere with the Nuclear issues since he now works under the president of the United States. For Gonen to say that I have done nothing, sacrificed nothing—is slander to say the least.
I am now on record, and I have sent an email to Gonen to take on his issues of me being a fraud on TV. I doubt that he will take this issue on, for if he did, he would be embarrassed since I will prove my record and he will be ashamed since he has showed nothing—where is his due-diligence? It doesn’t exist. Shame on who Mosab? Yet he writes “Shame on you Walid Shoebat”.
I have never called you a fraud from the sense that I have denied your account and story working with the Shen-Bet. I did not deny your history. Yet Gonen is calling me a fraud and denying my history. One cannot compare what I did with what Gonen did. I have called you a fraud when you portrayed yourself as pro-Israel when in reality and it’s obvious, you are pro-Palestine. I hope I am wrong. In fact, I pray that I am wrong.
Trust me. Your friend and co-author will not want you associating with me. He is of the ilk of Bishara Awad and the Al-Bushra and Naeem Ateek. If you think this is the Christianity you want to follow then I must tell you that you are under the influence of evil Mosab, and it is us who truly love you. Yet you cannot see it. When the Lord comes and He judges, He will judge the nations for dividing up His land (Joel 3). Do not be on the side of evil, for Antichrist divides the land for gain (Daniel 11).
It is crucial Mosab that you understand this. For at first, before our Lord came, many taught that He comes riding on a horse, they wanted to please there pride, while others taught He comes on a donkey—a humble beast. While some might think that its no big issue on which beast He rides—the ones who thought it was the horse missed everything since He did come on a donkey and the ones who expected the horse rejected Him.
Interpreting the Bible accurately is no small issue.
Biblical text is crucial Mosab, and if the Bible says He comes again, to judge the ones that divide His land. This is clear, for the ones who think they are believers and do not care, they will suffer this error and follow Antichrist who brings a false peace and a false hope.
You need to choose Mosab—but I pray, you choose wisely.
I am reaching out in peace, but always remember, peace does not live in a vacuum; for it comes by truth, that is in the Bible.
Palestinian Christianity is no Christianity whatsoever. It is a cult from the pit of hell and I want to so much get you out of it. If one loves his blinded brother, then he must give him pain as to see he does not fall into a ditch. Love at times comes through applying hurt, tears and pain. I know that I have pained you when I wrote what I wrote. I believe what I wrote was true and indeed, I stayed sleepless nights in pain and agony—will Mosab see the errors of his ways? Palestine is of Satan.
No Mosab, your not in good hands and the ones who lead you are leading you astray. It is the ones whom you mistrust (us) that want to include you in the right path.
I have read your book diligently; may I suggest you read mine?
Indeed, you have been rejected. I have too—I lost all my property in Bethlehem, lost my family—all of them. How many times can I show you the rejection I got from Palestinian Christians. These were the so-called Christians that never shared the Gospel with us back home. Most of these are phony. Yet I believe that they have rubbed off their stench on you. The greatest pain is the rejection I get from so many Jews. Yet I never waiver—I am still a Zionist and a Christian—not a Palestinian and a Chrisian.
I was up at night when you were rejected by your father, Mosab. I was tracking everything including your court papers. I have obtained everything and watched everything regarding your case. I have made an effort to contact you through others, yet you turned them away.
Indeed Mosab, it was I that attempted to communicate with you, you never once attempted to communicate with me. If so, prove it, you can’t.
There is more to the Bible then “love your enemy”. Indeed, even if this was the only verse in the Bible, then how do I love the Jew?
I tell you how Mosab:
First, I will never pick on what he (the Jew) did to me. I will never pick on the spec in his eye, instead, I will look at the log in my Arab eye.
Second, I will give him his land—All of it. God does not give half a land Mosab. The ones who say so, are the type that gives half of everything—especially half truths.
Palestine is a psychoses and nothing more. If we call that land Palestine since the Romans gave it this name, then as might as we call the Temple in Jerusalem “Temple of Jupiter” since it was the Romans that gave it that name.
Some of your associates are feeding you half-truths Mosab. Why not come to the full truth—the whole truth—so help you God.
Walid Shoebat
I am praying that both of you make peace with each other. I pray that the Truth is seen. I agree that a person cannot pick and choose from the Bible what truths they want to believe.
Mosab needs to get past his patriotism to his people. We are all one in the body of Christ – there is no country. Our total dedication should be to our King and His Law – we are NOT of the world so should not affiliate with any land. However, Israel belongs to the Jew. That has been God’s plan from the beginning and we should support it.
However, I find it interesting that you think some Palestinians may be of the lost tribe. In which case, Israel does belong to them also, except as Jews, not Palestinians. Did I misunderstand that theory?
In the Love of our awesome Father and Savior Yeshua!
Holy Spirit, I ask for your spirit to bring reconciliation where many words will not bring it.
Proverbs 10:19 – In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
Walid,
I have respected your work for many years, and I thank-you for speaking the truth about Islam. But as a Brother-in-Christ I must tell you, that in this scenario you are wrong. Mosab’s letter was from the Holy Spirit, and I know that you as a fellow Christian, must have discerned this also. Mosab reached out in Christian love, his focus was purely on Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ alone, and the reconciliation that only Jesus can bring. Mosab did not use his letter to defend himself or his stances, he wrote the letter to you to reconcile with a brother-in-Christ who disagreed with him, and quite frankly publically attacked him. Your reply on the other hand was totally about defending yourself and your stances, if there’s one thing I know the flesh and the devil loves it is the defense of SELF(this is from personal experience) I pray you will not let it consume you as defending myself consumed me for many years, and almost cost me my wife, children, and salvation. Please Walid reject the fleshly defense of self and embrace the invitation of our fellow-Brother-in-Christ, remember we as Christians are ‘ONE BODY’, we must act in unity, as Mosab said we are not to be ‘religious’, religion is dangerous, even the ‘religious’ aspect of Christianity is dangerous, we must be Followers of our Lord, Savior and God Jesus Christ and Him alone. Walid think of what a blessing you could be to Mosab, I also appreciate your solid stance in defense of Israel, and I like you believe all the promises the Bible tells us about the Holy Land belonging to the Jews, but you must remember Mosab risked his life daily to bring safety to both Jews and the Arabs of Palestine. Mosab manifested the Biblical truth that in Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile. Jesus is the only answer for peace in the Middle East, just as Jesus is the answer for peace in our hearts. I appreciate that you also have risked your life to proclaim the dangers of Islam, and I pray the Holy Spirit will guide your heart as you read this letter to understand the love with which this letter was written to you Walid. Brother Walid, Brother Mosab needs mentors and brother’s now, not critics and accusers, we must support Mosab, we can disagree, but we must not attack, because if we attack we attack ourselves ‘the Body of Christ’. I pray you read Mosab’s letter above again, and discern what the Holy Spirit’s telling you to do.
Maranatha!!
Dustin
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
How hard it is sometimes to submit to the Father’s will when you have a thought of your own you want to share but you oppress it in order to hear the Holy Spirit speaking to you so you can be truly used by God. I’m sure Mosab had plenty to say, put I praise the Lord he has given glory to the Father by just loving his brother, Walid.
“We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death…By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” -1 John 3:14,16
May all the glory go to the Lord Jesus Christ through this. While Jesus was on the earth He always made it a point to give any and all glory to God the Father. The Father is glorified in heaven when we glorify His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, here on earth! How wonderful is our God
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also had highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11
Dear Mosab Hassan Yousef, Save your breath. Our Lord was likewise defamed and maligned but he raised not a word in His defense. The words of 1Peter 2:19-25 come to mind. They seem relevant and pertinent to your situation. No matter what you say, there will always be those who misconstrue your motives and standpoint. If it was done to the very Son of God Himself, can those who endeavor to walk in His footsteps expect any different? It is sad if those those who speak against you, are trying to make themselves look good by endeavoring to make you look bad. We do well to reflect on Proverbs 13:3, 10:19,17:27-28 and be encouraged by Proverbs 3:3-8. May God give you strength to endure, and bless you with the peace that passes all understanding. In the love that we share through Christ Jesus, Elidad.
Encourage a brother not to respond to another brother’s scriptural concerns? Our Lord was sinless, thus He kept silent. We are not. Paul confronted Peter, your advice would have been???, ‘Peter Jesus was persecuted too, save your breath, Paul is only trying to make himself look good.’
I do not question Mosab’s love for Jesus Christ, I question his stance on God’s Land.
Mosab seems to be in favor of dividing the land, and a two state system. This is the scripturally on the wrong side of eternity.
blessings to you Elidad.
JB – What it comes down to is James 1:19-20: So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Thank you for your response Daniel.
I do not see this, at all, as coming down to the
wrath of man.
Could it have been handled differantly…perhaps.
blessings to you my
brother….
CONGRATULATIONS my dear brother.
It is not easy to reach out the one who offended you and forgive him, but that was what Jesus taught us to do.
Praying for you both.
Rafik
Dear Mosab,
You have written an excellent appeal for unity, one that bares your heart for Christ. In doing so, you have edified the entire Body of Christ. This is how differences and offenses should be resolved.
None of us is perfect, and when challenges, fair or unfair, come to our faith we are proven. And in the proving we are further established in grace and truth.
The Lord warned us “by their fruit you will know them”. Not by doctrine, education, fine speech, or political position. It is the willingness to follow the Lord through and out of the problem that shows the heart of a true disciple, and once again you have proven yourself.
I loved your comment about cultural Christianity itself being a stumbling block. We need to understand that, to separate the precious from the vile; that which gives life from that which can only work law and death.
In laying down everything for Jesus, you have set a high standard that inspires us all.
God bless.
Dear Mosab,
I am praying that your email will open the door to reconciliation between you and Walid in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please discern that your current feud is the work of our enemy who is a liar and comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Don’t take the bait of Satan! The Lord is currently reaching out to the lost of the Middle East and a great revival of people (both Muslim and Jew) is already beginning. I pray that you both will be protected and emerge as leaders for your people onto the path of righteousness. Blessings upon you both, Anna
Dear Mosab, I have been reading this blog for sometime, I pray that God will give you wisdom .
In life you can find many kind of people and not all love you. If they hate Jesus, what can we say about us-the sinners?
All you have to know is that we all love you and the most important- Jesus Christ loves you. Don’t put it to your heart…
I am new to all these to doings. A Proverb says for people passing to not get involved in other’s fights, so I won’t. I just want to tell you Mr. Yousef that I am proud of you as my Brother in Christ.
What you said about loving in Christ Jesus and forgiving in Christ Jesus made me so proud. That is what I have learned, too, in life. The next step, Sir, is you send money for food, or if you can’t do that you send money to charity they would like. You feed people who mistreat you and the Lord will handle things. Also, feeding people who mistreat you stops the spritual ability to hurt you.
You feed people who hurt you, then the Lord will handle the situation. I have no idea who is right or wrong. Probably, both are wrong in some ways, probably both are right in some ways. The answer is send money to those who mistreat you. Feed those who hurt you. Sir, it works.
I am new to hearing your story, Mr. Yousef, but my heart goes out to you, because of what you went through in jail and being rejected by Christians and others. It saddens me that some “Christians” have rejected you.
It also saddens me that some Jewish people put so much pressure on you, like somehow you determine events in the Palestinian arena. Why Zionists, are you putting so much pressure on a man, one man? You make me cry. Why do you treat my Brother in Christ like this?
I was hooked up with Zionist ministries for about eight years. I bought the party line. I have read in the Bible what it says about dividing the land. I watched a documentary of Israelis being carried from their homes. I watched bulldozers tearing their homes appart.
I wondered why those homes were bulldozed and not given to the Palestinians to make lives for themselves. It reminded me of a neighbor girl who was throwing some of her things out as we talked. I watched her destroy her belongings before she threw them out, so no one else could use them.
I have some questions. The Zionists are always saying. Ishmael was the son of a slave. Thus, implying that Ishmael is someone to be looked down on. I heard that all my life. It occurred to me recently, that Jewish people were also slaves at one time. Why is it that Zionists look down on Palestinians like they are decendants of slaves. And some forget that they too were inslaved?
(when they disobeyed God)
Oh, I love the Old Testament. I love King David and his Psalms. I consider myself a breed of Christian I call a “King David kind of Christian”. I have a relationship with “I AM” like King David had a relationship. To me it is a relationship, not a religion.
I have seen where the Bible says that Israel will come home to their land. I am just wondering in all of that, what are the Palestinians supposed to do? In the BC times people conquered and that is the way it was. But in these times we don’t conquer and enslave. So what are the Palestinians supposed to do?
Is there a place they can go? Can Palestinians live in Israel? Why are Palestinians treated like second class citizens? Why is oppressing Palestinians Israel’s answer to this situation? Why are Palestinians given a citizenship less than Israelis in Israel? (I believe that is what I read in Jpost.)
Where is the love of God? I really don’t understand people who feel they are so right, that they are excused to treat people like dirt.
I have this advantageous covenant with “I AM”. An even better coventant. Jews’ covenant is in the blood of animals, the covenant I got is in the Blood of Lord Jesus Christ. I don’t understand mistreating people because some think they “deserve it”, because of the deeds of some.
Who set Zionists up to be Palestinians’ parent and ruler?
Where is the love of God? Doesn’t it ever occur to anybody that oppressing people might be what makes them angry???? Your Book and mine both say, “Feed your enemies” Proverbs 25:21. Has anyone thought maybe about following the Book?
I really think you could solve some of your problems. Oppression is only making things bad for everybody. Oh yes, some blame America for Israel’s oppressing Palestinians.
Just because it is written in this book that Israel will come home to the land, it does not say anything about authority to oppress people. I think people have relied on their own understanding and use military might to try to solve issues.
It is not for me to judge, it is just hard to want to be a Zionist, when I know now that people have been oppressed in Egypt and I can only figure that Palestinians are oppressed too.
My Book says, God is Love. 1 John 4:16 “…God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.”
Where is the Love, Where is the God in all of this? Surely, scriptures don’t authorize some to oppress others? I must admit, I am glad I got in on the covenant in Christ Jesus. I am glad I am held to the standard of Love. Love is freeing.
Happy Birthday Israel!!!

Mosab,
My Brother, this letter to Brother Walid, was truly from the Holy Spirit. Thanks so much for manifesting the Love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Never feel alone brother, for I pray for you daily, also thanks for mentioning the importance of the difference between being ‘religious’ and being a follower of Jesus. This is a message the church truly needs in these perilous days, for I truly believe that there are may Chrino’s (Christians in name only) who will say ‘Lord, Lord…’but are tragically going to hear our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ say, ‘Depart from me you who create iniquity for I never knew you.’ Keep up the great work and obedience my Brother Mosab.
Maranatha!!
Dustin
Brother Mosab,
You are in our prayers. If you ever need a place to rest, my home is open to you, as I believe, are the homes of a great many others.

Wish you all the best, Mr. Mosab… HalleluYAH… Praise be to YAH…
I agree: extremism is destructive/unbalanced–but wrong is wrong. Before I started becoming informed (a neverending process) I took for granted that the political situation between Israel and Arab nations was somewhere in the middle (i.e., both at fault). You know, “it takes two to tango.” But it is not that simple. What if one side doesn’t want to tango? Unfortunately the Palestinians have been used as pawns and indoctrinated to be killing machines, that is how they get their glory and that is sad and despicable. Children are being indoctrinated at school to hate Jews and to offer themselves up as martyrs for “the cause.” Look up memri.org if you don’t believe me. The Palestinians deserve better. All Muslims deserve better. But Israel is not the enemy. Islamic teachings are. Corrupt and/or ignorant leaders are. Israel has no choice but to defend her citizens against onslaught.
As for being Christian. I too belong to no particular denomination. I love Jesus with all my heart and soul. He was an independent thinker and truth seeker, showing the Way to salvation. May we all learn from his example.
Mosab,
I am an American, and I heard you speak when you came to my church in NJ. I read your book and was deeply touched by your journey. If you don’t mind me saying so- your struggles and your determination to share Christ’s message and love remind me of the Disciple Paul in the New Testament. I know your heart is true and your mission is just.
Our Christian nondemominational church is dividing on issues I do not fully understand, so I will be sharing your message with them. I agree with you in saying it is not the theology at the root of the trouble, but rather the pride, greediness…
You are doing a great thing Mosab, and I pray that you, through our Lord Jesus, are the message of hope. May the love and protection of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
Helen
Dear Walid Shoebat,
I wondered why his person all this discussion about it? As a journalist I would like to hear your side now. I say just as a journalist for you to know that I fully understand both sides. My first job was in the press about Iraq in 2002 to study the Middle East for eleven years. Based on my experience overall would like to know why this “uprising” against the young Mosab Hassan Yousef? Everything is just a misunderstanding? Throughout our walk with Christ committed several errors. First because we do not know the Word of God completely, and often are influenced by those around us. It is natural to take advantage for the country we were born. But as we mature in the Word, we understand that we have no nationality. I’m thirty-four years, I met Jesus at nineteen. I work with the persecuted church through the Open Doors, an organization that cares for the persecuted brethren. I know pastors worldwide. I studied the Koran, the Torah, study Hebrew and Jewish culture. I never saw in all my years of studies and contacts with influential people in the middle of an evangelical person to speak with such wisdom and appropriateness of the Word of God, and with such intimacy with the Lord Jesus as the young Mosab Hassan Yousef. I believe he is helping an evangelical revival. I do not know if you realize but the churches are dead. The industry has taken account of the faith of the churches. Organisations should preach the Word and lead are working only for themselves used the name Jesus. While the needy starving, deprivation, pain because the scribes of today are only concerned with leading a comfortable and luxurious life, and therefore they benefit from the faith of millions. This is empreguinado in all religions, but Christianity has grown. People today are injured in God’s name. When we find someone who really preach what Jesus taught us, we have to constantly watch the person being attacked. Why is that? Jesus told us we would be persecuted, but I see the world today just chasing the young Mosab. Why? He worked with Israeli, you can not erase this from his story. He is a Palestinian, I can not change it too. Here in Brazil we have a mosque next to a synagogue, the imam has breakfast every day with the rabbi. The weekends they play football, and peace reigns. Tolerance. This is the missing word in their hearts. Let us pray that the same examples we have here in Brazil, and examples of the same Mosab appear increasingly in the world.
I am available and send you my e-mail contact, and hopefully I can help you.
In the love of Christ,

I have read the most resent comment by Walid and Agree on One point that you may have been told half truths by the people that have lead you. I know you have your own mind and you are not a yes man but because of who you are you may of not been told everything. You do have a father on earth and I am sure G-d has been watching over you all your life.
Dear Mr. Shoebat,
I am writing this as a reply to your reply to Mosab. This conversation between you two has consumed my thoughts and prayers this weekend. I am not trying to get in the middle of this or take sides, but I did want to share some thoughts on a comment you made in your reply. “Palestine is of Satan”…this is what really stood out to me. This is a very powerful message that you took on. The more I thought about this and the more I looked into Scripture, I am compelled to believe that to say Palestine is of Satan is comparable to saying America is a Christian Nation AND/OR America is of Satan; it just simply is not true, nor could it be backed up by the Bible.
Nowhere in the New Testament are we told to fight for the Nation of Israel and make her enemies our enemies. Even if any Christian out there has gone so far as to make Palestine their enemy, they simply have but two duties towards them; to love them, (“love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” Mt.5:44, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you.” Jn. 13:34) and to share the gospel with them (“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15). Simon Peter tried to fight and Jesus responded by saying, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?” Mt 26:52-53. The Father did not need nor want Simon Peter’s sword, He needed his obedience and wanted his heart. God does not need us, as Christians, to fight for Israel…He needs us to love them and share the gospel with them. He needs our obedience and wants our hearts. He needs us to love the Palestinians and share the gospel with them.
We cannot forget that we are strangers on this earth and are not of this world. We “desire a better, that is, heavenly country” Heb. 11:16. We live in a world where all the people are ruled by their sin. It is only Jesus Christ that can set us free.
What did Jesus say of Israel? “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!” Matthew 23:37. And what were some of the words God spoke to the Israelites before He was silent to them for over 400 years? “Who is there even among you who would shut the doors, so that you would not kindle fire on My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of hosts, nor will I accept an offering from your hands. For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles.” Malachi 1:10-11. And what words broke God the Father’s silence over 400 years later? “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17. And when Jesus was about to leave His disciples, what did He tell them? “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8. To whom were they to share the gospel with first and to whom was the gospel first directed to? “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16. And when this earth passes away, Palestine, Isarel, America, and all is destroyed and we will finally be in that heavenly country we desired, what will God say of those who believed in His Son? “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4.
God is in control.
Yes, Satan is the “prince of the power of the air” (Eph.2:2) in this world right now, and all people are subjected to him through sin, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23; “There is none who does good, no, not one.” Psalm 14:3; “Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.” Romans 3:9; “Jesus answered them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.’” John 8:34, BUT the Lord Jesus Christ has won victory over death and sin, and so can we through Him and only Him. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
Jesus could have defeated the Roman Empire and won a victory for Israel, but He didn’t because that was not His purpose of coming to this world. If there was any group of people that could have been called a nation of Satan it would have been Rome, and yet, Paul claimed his citizenship to Rome at his defense, Acts 22:22-29. It was not Rome that was of Satan, nor was it the Romans that was of Satan, it was the sin of the Romans that was of Satan.
I am a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and I claim no other name except for His; I am a Christian, but I am not a Zionist. Do I love the Jewish people? Yes, with an overwhelming love I do, but I don’t need to be a Zionist to do that. I wonder if the majority of Evangelical Christians in America even know what a Zionist is, let alone claim that name as their own? But if you asked most of them if they support Israel, the majority, if not all, would say yes. We support them, we may even be willing to die for them, but do we love them? Do we even try to love them like the Lord has loved them? Are we willing to take the time to share the love of Jesus, the Messiah, with them? Would we lay down our own life for the salvation of their souls?
I guess this is my point: I think if we, as Christians, loved the Israelis with the love of Jesus, we would equally love the Palestinians, because that is exactly what Christ’s love would be and is. It is unconditional. His love suffers long and is kind, it does not envy, nor parade itself or is puffed up, it doesn’t behave rudely or seek it’s own, it is not provoked or thinks any evil, it doesn’t rejoice in iniquity but rejoices in truth, it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, and most of all, MOST OF ALL…His love never fails us. He was very clear: “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18. The Jewish people are not above this or are immune to the judgment of God, none of us are! He clearly says ALL must believe in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. God isn’t asking us, as Christians, to physically fight for the Nation of Israel, He is asking us to spiritually fight for their souls, because the value of our soul is much greater than that of our body, and we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but “against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” Eph. 6:12. God is a righteous Judge, so we should let HIM do just that – judge the Nations! He did not ask us to help Him judge while we live on earth.
This doesn’t go to say God will not ask some Christians to also physically fight for the people of Israel, and Mr. Shoebat is an example of that. It’s a shame some people are making him to be the enemy here; he is not, he is still a brother in Christ and has a deep zealousness for the Israeli people. Who are we to cast the first stone? Both he and Mosab remind me of the Apostle Paul…”I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, who are Israelites.” Romans 9:2-4, but I don’t believe Paul would call himself a Zionist, because his passion was only for the salvation of their souls and not for their Nation at all. The Jewish people are the apple of God’s eye, which is why I think true Christians will always have a place in their heart for Jewish people, but the question we should ask ourselves is not if we will fight the enemies of God’s chosen people, but if we have made the Lord Jesus Christ the apple of OUR eye and if we can love the enemy of His chosen people!? His love is greater than death. Would you lay down your life for the salvation of a Palestinian soul? A Jewish soul? The Apostle Paul would. And Jesus Christ already did.
I hope and I pray that Mr. Shoebat and Mosab can bring their differences to the foot of the cross and to the power of the Scriptures. They are bearing a heavy cross that God gave them to bear; we need to continue to edify them and build them up. God is gracious and full of compassion and His love will never fail either of them. We must continue to pray for Israel, Jew and Palestinian, and all who are physically and spiritually hurting under the power of sin in that country. Satan is a powerful deceiver and knows the more he can get Christians tangled up in politics, the less they can fix their eyes on Jesus and focus on preaching the gospel, “Let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” Hebrews 12:1-2
The greatest commandment is to love, but it is also the most powerful!
1 Cor 5:5-6
“5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.”
Jesus, Matthew 5
All this fighting over land annoys me! Why cannot we love both Jews and Palestinians and every other people group of this world and stop taking sides?
Jews need to know about Jesus too.
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
We should keep in mind that divisions like these make Satan happy. For we are not concerned with souls, we are concerned with saving face and defending ourselves.
“..and whatsoever we do, do all to the glory of God.”
Dear Mosab
You are totally wrong in blaming equally the Israeli and Palestinian leaders for the lack of peace. This is totally untrue. The Palestinians rejected a serious peace offer from Ehud Barak in 2000 and opened a terror campaign against Israel (thats when you were active in the Israeli intelligence). After Israel left Gaza in 2005, and evacuated every single soldier and citizen from there, it was the Palestinians who redoubled their hostilities. They could have shown the world how they build a peaceful and productive life for themselves on the Gaza area which they won from Israel. But instead they fired thousands of rockets at Israel. So please Mosab, stick to truth. The reason for the lack of peace is that the Arabs and Palestinians reject Israels very existence, and are striving to annihilate it. Israeli leaders (Rabin, Barak) offered peace, seriously and honestly, but were rejected.
Marhaba, Mosab. I don’t support your values about Islam, but I agree with what you wrote about that extremists are problematic and not Palestinians or Israelis. Also, I think that it was not fair of Walid to accuse you. But you know what is true and what isn’t, so I don’t think that you should care about what people accuse you for, if you know it’s not true.
I have been accused for being several things, such as Anti Jewish, Anti Arab, Zionist (well, I am a Zionist and don’t see that as any offensive word), and someone wrote that I should join Hamas because he was sarcastic and probably wanted to write something that he thought was extreme. That, about Hamas, was almost the worst anyone has written to me. I was 15 and it was in 2003. But I know that that person was extreme.
Hope all is well.

I once saw two brothers in Christ experience a rift in thier relationship because of fear about small things and an inablity to effectively communicate each of their views (plus one was angry and hurt- wanting to have his authority be viewed as absolute). I think it is very important, Walid, to believe and obey what God says about the land of Israel. But it is also important, Walid, to obey him when he says, “weep with those who weep.” Mosab, I am deeply sorry that you have felt so alienated for so long. Our family felt that way for several years when we moved and couldn’t find a church full of honest and loving believers who would stand for the whole truth- though it wasn’t nearly as hard as what you have been through. It is very important to have a group of christians you can spend time with, pray with, encourage eachother, and correct eachother. But I understand that sometimes God seems to be withholding this good thing- and all we can say is Amen. He works all things together for our good. Yes, it is true that Palestine is the name given to the Land by the Romans, as a direct insult to the Jews. It is also true that the Jews are commanded in scripture to be kind to the foreigner. It is true that Mosab’s family and so many others have been living as a people under the name Palestinian for a long time, and they have experienced much opression. Israel lovingly accepted and went and got hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees expelled and persecuted in Arab lands. No Arab nation has so graciously helped the people living as refugees in Gaza and the West Bank area. It is a sad, hard situation with no easy answer. I hope you all can stop arguing, see and speak the truth, and understand that Mosab’s Shin Bet handler has invested heavily in his friendship with Mosab and wants to protect him. Emotions are high. Please be kind to one another and look to Christ to fill your cups to overflowing with love and mercy, understanding and truth.
God bless you brother Yousef! I just read you book and could not put it down. I bought it yesterday and finished it today. My friends and family have recently started a ministry and our trying to do our part to spread the love of God and His Holy son Jesus Christ. You can visit our website at http://www.hopeforthetroubledheartministries.com I hope it will bless you the way that you and your story have blessed me. I hope to hear from you,
God Bless
IF I were to blame ”Christians” in the USA of what you do – I would have stopped serving the Son of God when I were FIRST offended !!!!!!!!!!! WHY does this seem to fit so well when ”it’s to man glory to OVERLOOK an offense ?”
PLEASE STOP the confusion

admit you lied ! And God will forgive you !!!!!!!1
Dear Mosab, I just loved the way you have written about how you came to know the love of Jesus. Its not so dramatic, yet His love captured your heart. And though i am born christian blessed with spiritual gifts and known the love of God in a beautiful way, some times still i wanted to hear some simple words coming from a heart that immensely loved Jesus. And trust me, when i read your book, where you quoted that pride, greed those negative natures in our heart is our enemy, I was touched. Coz i am a born again christian and its realy hard some times to get over the bitterness caused by some people. Those lines made me think. Yes, there are many hypocrites, I might be one too. But I pray that that purpose of the Lord in my life should be fulfilled. To be a blessing to others lives. And I believe thought you still have to face a lot, Lord is using you to reach out to others in His own way. God bless you.
Mosab,
I’m reading your book “Son of Hamas” now. I’m not against that you are a Christian, or that you worked against Hamas with Shin Bet or that you are against Hamas. I’m against that you think that Hamas opinions are Islam’s “fault”. I’m planning to convert to Islam, inshallah, and I have another version than Hamas about Islam. Hamas version is extreme and their political opinions too. I have been against Hamas for ten years and I will never support them. I care about Hamas a lot, and want to analyze their opinions about Islam. I’m sorry to read that you have suffered a lot. Take care.
Kind regards,
Hanna, 24
Hi Hanna,
if you do not mind, I would like to know the reasons for you to decide to conert to Islam. What love/truths/peace/ have you found?. I am just curious to know.
Merlin: I think that Islam suits me better, I’m not against any other Religion, it’s just that I believe in God and Muhammad as a Prophet (but I don’t think that everyone have to be Muslim). I like that in the Quran, it’s written that people who think that God exists and that there will be a Judgement Day will get salvation. Jews and Christians as well. Also, that the Quran says that people have different Religions or societies because God didn’t make one Religion or society only. There are some interpretations of every Religion that I don’t agree with. Also, I want an Islamic marriage, but of course I’m not converting because of another person. I use to pray, I have done so for years, but I don’t know if my belief is enough.
Thank you for your question
That part about salvation is from Benazir Bhutto’s “Reconciliation”. She was Muslim and her interpretations of Islam, but sometimes I thought that her book was a bit narrow-minded as well because all Muslims don’t have her liberal interpretation. Sadly.
