Homeland In-Security

In PERSONAL on May 22, 2010 at 14:56

I have worn many hats in 32 years—Muslim, Christian, son of Hamas, Prisoner 823, spy, traitor, USAID administrator, businessman, best-selling author.

Now I am Homeland Security File# A 088 271 051.

And, according to these “highly trained” civil servants, I am a threat to America’s national security and must be deported.

On June 30, at 8 a.m., I have a hearing before Immigration Judge Rico J. Bartolomei at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration Court in San Diego.

But I am not worried about this. I am outraged! My only concern is about a security system that is so primitive and naive that it endangers the lives of countless Americans. Honestly, Judge Bartolomei’s verdict really does not matter. If he rules to deport me, I will appeal. And Homeland Security has assured me that, if he rules in my favor, they will appeal. And this insane merry-go-round can go on like that for decades.

My concern is not about being deported. It is that I am being forced to stand and defend myself as a terrorist! This is ridiculous. And as long as this case is in the courts, I cannot leave the United States. If I do, I will never be able to return. For what? For risking my life fighting terrorism in the Middle East for ten years? For saving the lives of Israelis, Palestinians and Americans?

I should never be put through this in the first place. It’s crazy.

Don’t think that I am writing this post to get you to feel sorry for me or even to write your congressman or senator on my behalf. I believe that God is using this situation to expose the weaknesses of Homeland Security and to put pressure on it to make changes that can save lives and preserve freedom. But first, you need to understand everything that led up to File# A 088 271 051.

It began when I arrived in America January 2, 2007. I walked into the airport like anyone else on a tourist visa. Seven months later, I went to the Homeland Security office, knocked on their door and told them, “Hey, guys, I am the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, my father is involved in a terrorist organization, and I would like political asylum in your country.”

They were shocked. They didn’t expect it. I told them, hey, you didn’t discover me. You didn’t catch me. I came to you and told you who I am to wake you up. I wanted them to see that they have huge gaps in their security and their understanding of terrorism and make changes before it’s too late.

I filed an application for political asylum. Not surprisingly, on February 23, 2009, they told me that I was “barred from a grant of asylum because there were reasonable grounds for believing [I] was a danger to the security of the United States and because [I] engaged in terrorist activity.”

More hearings followed. When they demanded evidence to support my claim that I was not a terrorist or a security threat, I filed a draft of my book, Son of Hamas. Surely this would make everything perfectly clear. They would discover that I was an intelligence agent, not a terrorist. That I tracked down terrorists and put them in prison. That I was an asset, not a threat.

But they didn’t get it.

Recently, I received a document in which Homeland Security senior attorney Kerri Calcador claimed that, “In the book, the respondent discusses his extensive involvement with Hamas in great detail. For example, in one portion of the book, a member of Shin Bet shows the respondent a list of suspects implicated in a March 2001 suicide bombing and asks the respondent whether he knows the individuals. The respondent indicates that he does know five of the people on the list and states that he previously drove them to safe houses.”

On page 5, Ms. Calcador concluded that, “At a bare minimum, evidence of the respondent’s transport of Hamas members to safe houses—discussed above in the Statement of the Case as but one example of the respondent’s involvement with Hamas—indicates that the respondent provided material support to a [Tier I] terrorist organization.

Is she kidding? Either Homeland Security’s chief attorney has zero reading comprehension, or else she intentionally took the passage out of context. And I am not sure which is worse.

Even a child reading the book can see that, during that time, I was working as a secret agent for the Shin Bet (Israeli’s internal security service, comparable to our FBI). My job required me to do anything I could to be involved with my father’s activities. So when he asked me to go with him to pick up these guys when they were released from the Palestinian Authority prison, I went.

First of all, no one—not me, not my father, not even Israel—knew at the time that these men were involved with suicide bombings. With all of its assets, the Shin Bet did not put the pieces together for three more years.

Second, I was the one who connected these men with the bombing at the Hebrew University cafeteria in July 2002. And Homeland Security would do well to remember that there were five American citizens among the dead. Apparently the agency needs also to be reminded that I was the one who located the terrorists and led to their arrest or death.

Did the American government launch a special investigation to find their killers? No. Even the Israeli government had no idea who or where they were. I am not boasting, but the record is clear that I was pivotal to bringing them all to justice. And Homeland Security today tells me “thank you” by trying to deport me!

Yes, while working for Israeli intelligence, I posed as a terrorist. Yes, I carried a gun. Yes, I was in terrorist meetings with Yassir Arafat, my father and other Hamas leaders. It was part of my job. And I passed on to the Shin Bet all the information I gathered during those meetings and saved the lives of many people—including many Americans.

Maybe Homeland Security only read a few chapters of my book. If they would have bothered to read all 251 pages, they would know that I also worked with 40 Americans on the USAID water project in the West Bank for five years. Who took care of their security? Who warned them not to come to Ramallah if there was going to be an Israeli military incursion or if there would be shooting? Who protected their offices? I wasn’t being paid to do that. I did it because of a Christian morality that taught me to love, not hate. I protected my manager. I protected everybody. Nobody hurt them.

Is this the behavior of someone who is a threat to Americans?

If Homeland Security cannot tell the difference between a terrorist and a man who spent his life fighting terrorism, how can they protect their own people? Why is Homeland Security wasting its time investigating a former Israeli intelligence operative, instead of looking for the real terrorists out there? Is it personal? Racial? Political? Or just stupidity?

I don’t doubt that they are embarrassed, and they should be. Maybe they feel a little insecure because someone with my background got into this country and moved around for seven months, and they were clueless.

One thing I have learned, they are definitely arrogant, acting as though they are something special and know everything there is to know about fighting terrorism.

The FBI, on the other hand, has a much better understanding of terrorism and recognizes me as a valuable asset. They told Homeland Security that I am not a threat and advised them to drop the case. But Homeland Security shut its eyes and stopped up its ears and told the FBI, “You have nothing to do with this. It is our job.”

They worry me, and they should worry the American people. If Homeland Security cannot understand a simple story like mine, how can they be trusted with bigger issues? They seem to know only how to blindly follow rules and procedures. But to work intelligence, you have to be very creative. You have to accept exceptions. You need to be able to think beyond facts and circumstances.

Homeland Security has absolutely no idea of the dangers that lie ahead. For nearly 30 years, I watched from the inside as Hamas dug its claws deeper and deeper into Israel. They started awkwardly, clumsily, but they got good at it. And al-Qaeda is becoming more like Hamas.

The strategy of Hamas has always been to bleed Israel. A slow bleeding war to destroy Israel in the long term. They don’t have nuclear bombs, so they send a suicide bomber here, another one there. And over the years, they severely damaged the economy and gave Israel a bad reputation all over the world.

Al-Qaeda started with huge attacks like September 11. But bin Laden has learned from Hamas’s war against Israel how to bleed its enemy. Al-Qaeda understands how effective the Hamas strategy will be on American soil.

Americans have never experienced anything like this. This country is not ready. Try to imagine attacks by suicide bombers and car bombers, attacks on schools, in shopping malls, in the gridlock of rush-hour traffic, week after week, month after month, year after year, here and there, in big cities and rural towns. No one feels safe anywhere. There seems to be no reason behind the attacks, no pattern. Everyone is a target. Men, women, children, office buildings, private homes, town halls, schools and hospitals. The government is powerless to stop them. Every car and truck you see is suspect. Every suitcase and package is suspect. Someone standing in line in a bank points to a briefcase on the floor and asks the person in front of him, “Is this yours?”

“No,” the man says, wide-eyed.

Seconds later, the bank is empty.

I was born and raised in this kind of environment. More than that, I was on the inside of both sides. I am not asking Homeland Security or anybody else for a job or a salary. I am asking them to be humble and listen, so they can learn.

Exposing terrorist secrets and warning the world in my first book cost me everything. I am a traitor to my people, disowned by my family, a man without a country. And now the country I came to for sanctuary is turning its back.

Kerri Calcador warned in Homeland Security’s pre-hearing statement that, when I appear at my hearing in June, “the respondent bears the burden of proving his eligibility for relief.” In other words, I am guilty unless I can prove to their satisfaction that I am not a threat to U.S. security. And Homeland Security has been embarrassed. They want me out. They don’t want to change. But there are too many lives at stake to worry about the personal sensitivities of the civil servants at Homeland Security.

That’s why I am asking you to share this blog post with as many people as you can.

Write letters to:

Kerri Calcador

Senior Attorney

U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Immigration and Customs Enforcement

880 Front Street, Suite 224

San Diego, California 92101

or call her at 619.557.5578.

And if you live in the San Diego area, come to my hearing at 8 a.m. on June 30 and see for yourself Homeland Security in action.

  1. amazing……….and they worry about immigration laws in Arizona!!

    • Worry no, dhimmi, yes…

Mosab did not use the “dhimmi” word in his post, but that seems to be the response from Homeland Security to his presence in America.

I wouldn’t be surprised if CAIR or some other Muslim Brotherhood front group influenced the dhimmi personnel in the Department of Homeland Security to “go after” Mosab.

Jihad takes many forms, and legal action, by a dhimmified State Department or a dhimmified into submission Homeland Secdurity, is one.

    • I have been studiously avoiding signing up for Facebook (I almost did just to share my joy!). I am SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY and have been praising the Lord all day that Mosab was granted asylum (pending the perfunctory details)!!!!!!!!! Know that many are praying for you Mosab! Blessings,
      Robin

    • Praise God that Mr. Yousef was granted asylum! I read too late in the newspaper today that the hearing was nearby. My husband and I wanted to go to support Mr. Yousef. My husband heard him speak at a men’s Christian conference and was greatly moved by his testimony. We feared that the rejection of his petition would stand, considering the current administration’s outreach to the Islamic world, but we should have had faith that the Lord would allow justice to prevail. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for allowing Mr. Yousef to stay here in the U.S. Welcome, Mr. Yousef, to our country and we are delighted that you have joined us. I pray that we Christians will work together to fulfill the Great Commission and I pray daily that all Muslims will repent and follow Jesus!

  2. Take heart, and pray. I am praying for you in this situation. Do not be angry; there are people in the US government that do not work for good in this world, but rather, what they can get out of a situation either personally or politically. You are not alone. Your brothers and sisters in Christ are praying for you. The Holy Spirit is the power in your life now, so rely on His strength. Thank you for sharing this. Please keep us updated, so we can pray and do what we can. May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

  3. Hey, theres a new name written down in heaven, and its yours Mosab. It is an inheritance, incorruptible that will never fade away. Keep looking up! I am a missionary in the Netherlands and they are trying to kick my Canadian wife out of the country so I understand a bit of what you are going thru. We are praying for you brother!

  4. Thank you for sharing this with us, Mosab. You’ve opened our eyes about Hamas and you’re opening our eyes again. The God we serve will continue to protect your life and your future. I will lift you up in prayer to our mighty God and hope that He will open up Homeland Security’s eyes to the TRUTH. I’ve shared this post on Facebook and will continue to support you and what you stand for…SAVING LIVES. I reviewed your book on my personal blog because it impacted my life and I wanted to share your story with as many people as possible.

  5. Mosab – Joseph – my brother in Christ – remember His Will is in your life now. He will not leave you or forsake you. Stay strong in His Word. Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease yielding fruit.
Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and our Savior Yeshua Hamashiach!

  6. Brother Mosab, do know that your friends around the world will support you. #1 We know your prayer request. #2 We will spread your message via blogs, articles etc. #3 Writing/calling Kerri Calcador, Senior Attorney. Regards from Sweden, /Dag Selander editor the blog MXp http://MissionXp.webblogg.se

  7. Brother Joseph…I typed up a letter to send to this attorney, and I am sharing it on my facebook page and I am also offering to email it to anyone as a Word document. We also are going to call that number on Monday morning and all during the week. And most importantly, we are PRAYING for you!
If anyone reading this would like me to send you a copy of the letter, just email me at creationsbytim@aol.com

    • Is GeriLovesJesus your facebook name?

    • It might be better not to use a form letter. Calcador needs to know that she is not just getting a bunch of signed letters from people who haven’t read what they are sending. However, typewritten is best (although apparently Calcador has not the wisdom to process that). And your idea is a great idea!

  8. The Lord knows the big picture. Please take heart my brother God will make a way. I along with alot of other people will be writing letters and calling on your hehave.

I pray that Homeland Security will see the benefit of using your knowledge to understand terrorism around the world. They should know that now th isis not the time to make an example of their authority or handel on terrorism.

If a Church was to speak up for you, do you think the judge would release you into their custody?

  9. Mosab,
Prayers, petitions, and supplications, and phone calls going up for you Joseph – The Royal Prince.
“He will lift me up on a Rock(Jesus), And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me; And I will offer in His Tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes I will sing praises to the Lord” Psalms 27: 6-7

  10. […] And now the country I came to for sanctuary is turning its back.”  Check out Yousef’s blog for more details on his situation and ways you can […]

  11. As christians we can not expect that the world- even those who look the nicest (democratic, free etc..)- would recognize us for who we truly are. if they did not recognize HIM (the Lord Jesus) than they will not recognize us.
Rely on the Lord dear Mosab to sustain you and get you through your trials, and most of all think that through all this HE is much closer to you and you will be able to get to know HIM even more

  12. The United States, I’m sad to say, is becoming more backwards and has been for many years now. I’m sure if you were to say you came from Mexico, they would set you up with housing, food, more education, etc., and it makes me sad that they go with what they think and not by the facts. I fear for my nation, but do not fear for you. G-d is a mighty god and soon your mountain will be moved. May G-d bless you and keep you. Amen.

  13. Mosab,

I have said this many times: WE are your family now and WE will do everything in our power to help you….please, do NOT feel ashamed to ask for help….I am glad you gave us an address to write to….I wish you had also given an email address, but that is fine…..

trust your new friends and family in Christ….we will pray for you, do everything legally possible to help you, and we love you very much…..

    your brother in Christ,
    Johnny Farina

  15. Dear Mosab,
There are a lot of Christians all over the world who are upholding you in prayer. You are not alone, even though in trials it feels like that sometimes. The Lord our God, who created everything, is in control. He know everything that is happening and everything we are going through. Jesus already has the victory and you have the victory through Him. There would be thousands of Christians that would look after you and protect you.
    Be encouraged….and God bless.

  16. Elizabeth Ann Kirby, thanks from Sweden. Your letter could be inspiring for many others. I’ve copied your letter to my blog post http://fwd4.me/PZW.
Could you please help us in the North of Sweden with E-addresses to DHS Kerri Calcador, Fox News and Obama etc
Best regards Dag Selander editor MXp

  17. Yes, Auntieem, that is my facebook name 🙂

  18. MOSAB! Can your agency get you back on Hannity on Fox News to be interviewed about your possible deportation? This is very timely in light of the Arizona controversy about immigration! I wrote to Sean about this, but trust me – he gets thousands of emails…your agent should contact him. I believe that he would have you on again. I also believe that this would have a possitive impact on your hearing!! I will be praying, brother. I love you in Yeshua!

  19. Hello Elizabeth, did you e-mail your letter to Ms. Calcador? I see that you CC’ed it to a few other people.

  20. Absolutely!! It was already pre-destined for Mosab to walk out THIS destiny! God’s winds of favor and mercy surround & protect him! What an honor it is for us to have Mosab to serve the Lord and our country so sacrificially. At the cost of losing his family, rights and freedom. Truly “laying down his life for his friends,” countrymen and strangers. He is a courageous witness to the strength of a single individual’s WILL honed in on providing truth and protection to the blind and vulnerable. He is a hero and a brother in Christ. His PAST has merely created the platform by which he resolves to use his knowledge, skills and influence for OUR Country’s benefit. I say, “Continue in your passion, boldness and in the mighty power of our sovereign God!” …IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US!?! -Jenna

  21. My friend and I plan to attend the hearing and will be writing and calling Kerri Calcador. We are also sending this information out to everyone we know. We will also be praying for justice!

  22. Exceptionally well-written letter!

  23. Mosab: I have written to my Congressman and friends in LA City Council and Orange County Assemblyman Chuck Devore. I’m going to send your information to Rush Limbaugh as well. The idea of getting back on Fox immediately is excellent. I’m going to send your information to Rush Limbaugh as well. This will all come out right. We are all praying for you and supporting you.

  24. I fully intend to be there to support you Joseph! Unfortunately – there are some brances of our Government wherein they are really “clueless”. Most of them have never traveled around the world – they are not “aware” of danger. They are only “aware” of a great paycheck and pension plan. That about sums it up.

You have a lot of support!

  25. As I read your blog, I sort of feel anger, disappointment and maybe bitterness in your entry. Though I understand these feelings are perfectly justified, humanly speaking, after going thru’ all the sacrifice and pain, I urge you not to let these negative emotion take control you, or the decision you are making. Many prophets in the Bible went thru very difficult times, opposition, trials…, and for some of them, deliverance did not come immediately. I pray that God will give you His peace and direction. He definitely has the best plan for you.

  26. […] He evidently is in the cross-hairs of the US Homeland Security Department and has written about a potential deportation on his blog. […]

  27. […] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Ted Esler and Ross Nixon, Dag Selander. Dag Selander said: Brother Mosab = 'Son of Hamas' is now File# A 088 271 051 Read the incredible story just written http://tinyurl.com/3ycpw4r #SonOfHamas […]

  28. Maybe because you are a new Christian you do not know what I’m about to say. Maybe you do know but are so enraged by the actions of “Homeland security” that you forgot. So I will remind you.You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Kerri Calcador is not the enemy, bHo is not the enemy they are pawns being used by the god of this world. To lead mankind into destruction. The obamination that sits in Washington just this weekend spoke on a “new world order” Joseph God in His sovereignty has saved you for such a time as this. So think it not strange when diverse trials come upon you. We need now to intercede for America like never before. And your case only reinforces this. I am committed to posting this post on my blog and personally emailing my 1000’s of followers on twitter to read it and put you on their prayer lists. Be encouraged brother God is with you!!!

  29. Thank you “actions needed” for the links. I came across this one as well. Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman – cisombudsman@dhs.gov

My letter is not as detailed as Mrs. Kirby’s, but I feel it expressed my thoughts:

I am writing to express my concern regarding Mosab Hassan Yousef’s upcoming deportation hearing on June 30, 2010. I believe this man to be a true ally to the citizens of the United States of America.

His story is truly a remarkable one and has been verified in many ways including eye-witnesses and a previous Shin-Bet handler.

I ask that you would consider logically the reasoning behind his request for asylum. He has now become an enemy of the terrorist organizations that he spied on because of the information he readily gave up to their enemies (our allies!) for several years. He was instrumental in saving lives of Israeli citizens, Palestinian citizens and even American citizens!

What was his motive? To alienate his family? To become a “traitor” to his people? To have a death warrant placed on his head? To save lives in order to take lives?

He walked into this country a totally free man with no one the wiser as to who he was. Why would he go to Homeland Security and tell them he is the son of one of the founders of Hamas? He is an educated man and not stupid. I don’t believe he is a double-triple-quadruple agent for the enemy. Now that would be a stretch!

Mosab has already shown his courage, commitment and willingness to do what is right. Please look deeper than just the statement “My father was a founder of Hamas” and grant Mosab asylum in this country.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  30. those of you contemplating contacting the white house via whitehouse.gov–hope it works. That site was down for a while last year.

  31. Yousef,
The reality is there is a deep rooted arrogance at the core of this nation’s political center. Every once in a while, something transpires to expose it. Your story is such an event. The truth is, I fear God’s patience is about to run out with this arrogance. It is possible; His patience has already run out. Whatever happens, you are not alone. I, personally, commit to doing anything within my power to assist you. You have many brothers and sisters who feel the same way. All you have to do is tell us what we can do.
Maybe you would be better serving the Higher purposes of God in another place in the World. Fight the fight, but, if it doesn’t work out, look for the open door, because, certainly there will be one, if not dozens.
I am going to discuss this with Tass by telephone tonight. He is an excellent resource. He’s in Southern California for another week or so. All you have to do is ask. Anything we can do.

  32. Joseph,

You not only need public support, you need a good lawyer. Any time you go up against the bureaucrats, you need a lawyer. They see you and they think, aha, someone on which I can apply my goverment given red tape. Get a good lawyer TEAM.

You may have to pay through the nose to do it, but if you want what you are entitled to here, freedom, you got to fight for it.

Contact the Alied Defense Fund, the ADF, that James Dobson and other Christians set up. They will fight for you for free if they think this case applies to them. I know people who have used their service and it was good.

  33. Hi Elizabeth Ann, when your replay say “awaiting moderation” that means the person has a setting on their blog that allows only the moderator to publish comments. Therefore when who ever the moderator is reads your comment and approve of it, your comment will appear to the public in the comment box.If you comment is disappearing it is safe to assume that the moderator maybe deleting it (note that there maybe something else going on).

As for the yellow blotches, I have no idea what that could be. Good luck

  34. Mosab,

I have already emailed everyone on my email contact list with a link to your blog. I will write letters after careful consideration of how to word them with a cool, Christian mind so as not to hurt your cause.

Thank you for keeping us posted! My wife and I are praying for you.

  35. By the way, to those who have posted sample letters on this thread, thank you! I will incorporate their ideas into my letters.

  36. Truth is stranger than fiction

  38. Dear Mosab, what can I say that you haven’t already said? Arrogance is right. That was the downfall of the fallen angels and will be the downfall of man – the ego. Our current administration is FILLED with arrogance and it is causing us so much destruction. God help this country. Despite it’s downfalls, I still believe it’s the best place on earth to be. I will pray for you Mosab. I pray that the Holy Spirit speaks through you to give you the right words to convince these people that you are not a threat but a friend and would make a wonderful citizen of the USA. Thank you for sharing this information. I will do my part to spread the word and make your story known. The more media attention it gets, the better chance you have of the govt. actually listening. You are not alone as you can see. Your brothers and sisters in Christ are standing with you and we are all praying for you. God will help you through this, whatever His will is, will be. I pray you win this case Mosab. Your sister in Christ.

  39. Unfortunately, you being called into the hearing has a political motive behind it. I have been raised in this country my whole life and have become sick watching it destroy itself from the inside out. Our country’s leaders have abandoned God. They want to remove God from every aspect in American life. In doing so, they must ‘tolerate’ every other belief in this country and outlaw any mention of Jesus. Their religion is a Godless one and they force us to tolerate all religions except Christianity. This hypocrisy is cripling the very freedom they ‘claim’ they are preserving. Take a look at what is happening all over the country today. “Kids are being thrown out of school for wearing American flag shirts on Cinco De Mayo, a mexican beer holiday, because it’s insensetive, but a Mosque is being built next to the world trade centers rubble set to open on 9/11 in 2011” – Fox News report. This is just one example of the hypocrisy that is crippling us. I see more of these stories in the news everyday. The fact that you are being accused of being a terrorist is because we are too gutless to to stand up to these countries supporting terrorism. We can’t even call it a war on terror anymore for fear of being insensetive. You said that our leaders do not even understand that Islam is not a peaceful religion. The fact that the US is harboring a known Christian convert from an Islamic extremist group will not sit well in Washington. You will bring out the truth and they do not want that. Republican and Democrat alike have abandoned the American people for power. They want us split on issues that they claim they are fighting for, but really nothing is being done, all the while they keep getting re-elected. They spend millions to divide the nation on key issues so that we are blind to their corruption. They must act like they are not cooperating with you in hopes to not offend the very Islamic rulers in the countries that want “to live in a world without Zionism and America” -Ahmadinejad. They have distorted our country’s very framework so much that although terrorists will try and bomb us and maybe suceed, our country will fall from the inside. See if this quote would be posted anywhere in a government building today….doubtful

-It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.

    -Patrick Henry

  40. Thank you!
    Que Dios te bendiga! Dobranoc

  41. Hi Mosab, I just want you to know I sent Glenn Beck a message at Fox News and I e-mailed AFA (American Family Association) asking them to form a letter to Kerri Calcador that all on their e-mail list can send to her. I am continuing to pray and I hope the media and AFA pick this up and run with it. Keep praying Mosab. God is listening.

    Mary

  42. We are first and foremost praying for you. We have posted this on our facebook page several times and are telling all of our friends to do the same. We have also emailed a few others who might be able to get the word out nationwide quicker. Hang in there brother!

  43. Matt Patterson….Nice entry, but the quote from Patrick Henry is not a Patrick Henry statement. The quote has gone around the Internet block a few times, and been checked out. It was inserted by someone in the course of using some information for an article that was published in a magazine in 1956–and then wrongly attributed to Patrick Henry. A certain percentage of the Founding Fathers were evangelical Christians, while others were deists. Yet there was a strong reliance on Christian values, even amongst many of them (even, in some sense, by Benjamin Franklin who nevertheless claimed to have fathered 18 illegitimate children amongst the noble ladies of the courts of Europe….Bill Clinton, eat your heart out!)

You have very strong political sentiments, and I share some of them. But calm down…..I suspect that the present situation has less to do with the current presidential administration than with some bureaucratic fuddy-duddy…..

  44. True friends of the Palestinian cause disapprove of terrorism, like MOSAB.

  45. […] “…a security system that is so primitive and naive that it endangers the lives of countless Americans…If Homeland Security cannot tell the difference between a terrorist and a man who spent his life fighting terrorism, how can they protect their own people?” –Mosab Yousef, former long-time Shabak asset and author of ‘Son of Hamas’ […]

  46. Mr. Yousef, your book was wonderful, I could not put it down. Your courage and bravery give me hope for the world. My heart and prayers go out to you, and I too, will write a letter supporting you against these fools we have running our government.

I believe that much of this nonsense has to do with you being a good Christian, and there seems to be nothing more in this world that our current administration hates, than Christians! Take heart, the time is coming quickly when those in power will be gone, and stronger, more worthy men and women will take their places and put to rights all the bad things that have been done to this Nation in the past few years, and decent Christians like you will no longer have to fear from prosecution of a corrupt American government!

You are in my prayers and I asked persons on my blog to mail Kerry Calcadore. God Bless Brother.

    .

  49. Mosab,

Words cannot express the thankfulness and sense of humility I have just knowing that someone like you lives in these dark times. Your integrity and nobility, especially in light of your upbringing, are positively heroic and inspire all who are open to recognizing it to try and go beyond ourselves in our own lives. With great love and admiration, as well as prayers for your purpose, a Jewish mother in Canada.

  50. Called and will now write a letter on your behalf. Thoughts and prayers to you. Wondering which side this Administration really is on ……. 😦

Good luck.I will pray for you.

  53. Brother Mosab (or anyone else who can answer this question), you invited readers to attend the hearing “at 8 a.m. on June 30.” I am praying about visiting San Diego to attend this hearing to help support you. You listed the address, “880 Front Street, Suite 224, San Diego, California 92101.” That sounds like an office building. Is that the physical location of the hearing? If anyone (perhaps someone living in San Diego) can confirm the hearing location, please reply to this.

May Jesus be exalted in this episode.

  54. I have contacted Congressman Pete Hoekstra to see if he can help. I will also make the phone call to the Attorney. Have ruthless trust in our Lord. These are exciting moments you get to walk with God. I will be praying with you.

  55. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them, and confessed that there were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. (Hebrews 11:13-16)

  56. He lied and said he was a Christian when we all know he’s really a Muslim. He lies today saying he considers Israel’s friendship unmovable. 58. My husband and I are praying for you along with many others, it seems. Wish we could be there to support you in person.

It also takes courage to tackle the immigration process here. I am a US citizen and my husband is a Brazilian English teacher. We have tried to get him a green card for 3 years. I could not believe how confusing, expensive, and time-consuming it is to immigrate legally into this country with a clean record and a North American wife. (It took all of 3 months to obtain Brazilian permanent residence for me.)

I wonder if President Obama will grant you “amnesty” along with all the illegal aliens in this country in the future. Does any of this make any sense? I would say you are precisely the kind of individual we would like to see immigrate to the US. It seems that those who take legal means to immigrate are penalized while those who sneak in illegally will receive complete amnesty. Something is wrong here.

One of my good friends was cruelly murdered in her home by Angel Martinez, the train mass murderer, an illegal alien from Mexico. I do not believe he should ever be allowed citizenship after murdering 7-8 US women. I realize we need a way to get the illegals to make their presence known for law enforcement purposes to protect them and US citizens, but folks like you who face death in their home countries, not just poverty, who pursue immigration through legal means should be given preference and a smooth, less-complicated process not requiring a lawyer, thousands of dollars, massive reams of paperwork, and much stress and anxiety.

So sorry about the problems you are facing. The bureaucrats do not represent the people of the US directly. Most are hired or appointed, not elected. And if it is near impossible for my husband and I to live together in the US (without hiring a lawyer to expedite the process) without any suspicion of terrorist connections, then perhaps you will be able to see how flawed the process is for everyone, take heart, and be patient. A lawyer is an excellent idea. Almost a requirement, it seems.

My apologies and empathy for your plight. You are not alone.

  59. This current American administration has either lost its everlovin mind when it comes to terrorism or they are doing this willingly!

Either one of those choices is not something that helps me sleep well at night! Mosab, just know that there are millions of people in this country that love you and will stand with you against the insanity of this administration! We support you. We applaud your courage. And we will do whatever we can to make sure that you stay in this country and that your story is told loud and clear.

There are forces in this country that would like to see you silenced….and worse! Continue to speak out. The more people know you and what you have been through, the harder it will be for the politically correct crowd in Homeland Security to carry out their nefarious plans for you.

    God Bless You, Joseph!!!!

  66. As far as I am concerned you got what you deserved….You came here on a visa and now you have to go back to where you came from…Just like any other tourist…Once their visa comes to an end or expires…they must return to their place of inhabitant. Thats the law..Homeland Security has every right to do its job and protect our blessed nation. You are not an American…and you gave up your rights as a Palestinian and now you are running scared…You turned on your family…who says you wont turn on our Great Country? 68. This is political! Americans learned some time ago who Homeland Security considers the enemy: Patriotic, law abiding Americans – Tea Party Attendees, Pro-lifers, veterans returning from the war who risked their lives for America. These good Americans are the people who were listed as to be watched! In saving the lives of many innocents, Son of Hamas falls in this category! Muslim terrorists are NOT considered the enemy!

Thank you so much Yousef for your great courage in protecting the lives of so many innocents. You are a hero.

  69. I’m passing on the following e-mail I received. It is frightening. U.S. leaders show no desire whatsoever to protect us from Islamic terrorism. Even more frightening, Muslim terrorist training camps are ALLOWED in America. There are many. Google: Muslim terrorist training camps in America. Yousef must avail himself of free Christian lawyers as mentioned in other comments and also have them present the following video and other videos on the Muslim terrorist training camps. Forwarded e-mail:

This VIDEO on Massachusetts was forwarded from a National Security Expert and he requested a wide dissemination. Please help. This video shows the true nature of Radical Islamist who are Conducting Acts or Terrorism in America from local mosques and supported by those Mosques. These very same Mosques and Imam’s are also being supported by LOCAL POLITICIANS and these Radical Muslims are conducting SENSITIVITY TRAINING to our local law enforcement.

We must be vigilant in protecting our nation… We are Fighting an INFORMATION WAR…our media and Government will not wage. HELP FIGHT TO PROTECT AMERICA… share this via every medium you have at your disposal. YOU WILL BE ASSISTING THE WAR ON TERRORISM IN AMERICA!!!!

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and the Imam

  70. Yousef, You are in my prayers that Homeland Security will reverse their stance. We should all contact our congressmen and ask for their support.

  71. We are incredibly betrayed by U.S. leaders who REFUSE to protect Americans from Islamic violence, murder and terror attacks. Unless this changes, we will lose our freedom! The results will be horrific. Please forward this information to your lists!

They are doing paramilitary training there.”– Statement by former city council member about an Islamic Center in the city of Buffalo, NY. [Reported by Douglas J. 72. Mosab,

I would encourage you to contact all the people who interviewed you in the united states and let them know this news. This will get the message out and apply pressure to the DHS.

  73. […] I have also been reflecting on this story. If you know me, you understand my frustration at the hostilities throughout Palestine. The blog […]

  74. Mosab, dear brother, salaam! You have been an inspiration to me: your life shows that the grace of God can transform lives and overcome hate, and that God is not a racist (Eph. 2:19). Shukran for everything you have done for your own people, for Israel and for the US. Please know that I and my friends are praying for you. Your life is in the Father’s good hands. Just trust Him. He will guide you.

When I heard about your planned deportation yesterday, I wrote immediately to the US embassy (I live in Northern Europe). Now that I saw your blog, I’m also going to write to Kerri Calcador. I lift you, your family, Palestinians, Israelis, and the US up in prayer. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6-7

  75. Kerri Calcador needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Mosab Hassan is a patriot and saint, now being relegated to terrorist by an “ANTI-HOMELAND SECURITY” process. All I can say is Lord have mercy on our personal, corporate and national corruption. FREE JOSEPH, Mosab Hassan Yousef!!!!!!!!!!!

  76. Mosab,

I am sure you know that the Dept of Homeland Security under this administration has stated that Christians, those who support the right to life for unborn babies, etc. are also threats to national security. I believe their “concern” for your being here has to do with your open rebuke of the god of Islam and your hope to bring your people to Jesus Christ. God bless you! You will continue to be in my prayers.

  77. Mosab-
I have read your book and wanted to let you know that it is one of my top five books EVER. I am a 32 year old American female that truthfully have never understood what was going on “over there”. Your book helped me understand the complexity of the situation. Do you have a comment on the recent turmoil with the flotilla? I just really want you to know that your strength and will came through in your words and I am proud to have read your book. Be well friend.

  78. Hello Mosab
Sounds like you might have to write another chapter or two for your book, which I thoroughly enjoyed because I learnt so much, from your experiences. If the Americans do not want you, I would like to invite you to live Australia, my home city of Port Lincoln is very beautiful and I am sure we can find you some work.
    Blessings
    Michael Whennen
    http://www.WiseReaction.org

    • Brother Mosab, it’s me again. I absolutely agree with Mr Michael Whennen. If American doesn’t want you (which many there do, it seems. It’s just powerful elements in their government that don’t), COME TO AUSTRALIA!!!!! Here I can try to help you.

  79. Read your book and I think you achieved your goal of educating others about the situation. Gives hope that there are others on both sides like yourself.
But was a little surprised once finding this blog, how many of your supporters are devout Christians. Seems u have gone from one radical side to the other.
Lastly unfortunate that you were a little naive about American culture by walking into the Homeland Security office like that..But totally agree how poor the security is to have let you enter so easily in the beginning.

Anyway honestly hope you are able to stay in the US and find a happy future there as you truly deserve it.

  80. Well done Elizabeth on your letter. Totally support the contents stated and trust the US Homeland Security will agree to back down, otherwise there won’t be enough room at the hearing on 30th June. Coming from Australia (called “God’s own country”) I know, the US is known as “home of the free”. This applies directly to Mosab. His contributions to the safe livelihood of countless numbers of people should be commemorated. Why deport a hero? Leave him alone you bullies. Everyone else – stand up for justice and righteousness.

  81. Yousef (Joseph) is a very apt name for you because your life mirrors that of Joseph from Genesis in the OT, who was betrayed, imprisoned and had to live in a foreign country, having been exiled by his brothers. I cannot fathom why deportation is even being considered, knowing full well you legally applied for asylum and that you have helped to save the lives of many people. You should be commemorated. Why deport a hero? The U.S. is supposed to be the “Home of the Free”, but it is being run by beaucratic bullies. Yousef, why not come on down to Australia – it’s God’s own country. P.S. Bring on the rapture, Lord.

  82. As a couple of others have stated, and as I’m sure you remember yourself, DHS’s view of what constitutes a terrorist leaves something to be desired. That document was only the unclassified version and seemed to have been retracted. But what’s going on with the classified version? I’m sure there is one. There’s plenty more that I would like to say, but I will leave it at that.

God bless you. Please continue to keep us posted.

  83. Prayers and blessings to you, Mosab. “For I know what plans I have in mind for you,” says Adonai, “plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 — from the complete Jewish Bible.
    Baruch atem b’Shem, Yeshua,
    your sister in Christ

  84. Tis information and videos just show Christians and everyday Americans how our own people and leaders are selling us and our freedom out everyday. It looks like we are going to have to arm ourselves and fight in the future for our safety and survival.

  85. Take heart, my brother, and always know that the one true God will take care of you! I am outraged at the incompetence of our national officials. We citizens of Jesus Christ must do everything we can to vote out these workers of iniquity from our government. Do not be discouraged because the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one, but rather rejoice that you have been counted worthy of being put on trial, delivered to the courts, just as our Lord has said would happen, just as happened to Him, and just as happened to Peter, Paul, and the rest of the 1st century apostoles as well as to countless Christians and disciples throughout the ages. The Lord promises to give you the words to speak during that time of trial. You have bourne many burdens, my brother, for your family, Muslims, Israelis, Americans, Christians, and people in general; now, in this hour, your are being called to bear one for the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and the burden that you bear… is His name! Bear it well, my brother! I and many others are pulling for you and praying for you. May more of His people have the courage and faith that you so beautifully demonstrate! THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL BE MIGHTILY WITH YOU!!!!!!! AMEN

  86. Mr. Yousef, you’re one of the very first people to whom I’d grant asylum if I were part of the decision-making process. You gave Israel great help because of your unique situation and I’m so thankful that God was, and is, using you for His glory.

    In His peace, brother,

    Sarah

  87. I see the stamp of Barack Hussein Obama all over this.

  88. My Christian Brother, I have read your book and you have touched my soul. You are in my prayers and will continue to be. It is clear to me that our Lord Jesus Christ has more in store for You.
Trust in him, He will continue to lead you and surely we will meet in his time. You are couragegous, continue on your path of light

  89. Peace be unto you, May the Great St Michael always be at your side.

  90. My brother, it is saddening to see what you are put through. You have done more good than any of the homeland security has done in a lifetime. And I like to thank you for helping our oldest brother Israel despite the hazard for your own life. I’ll be praying for you my brother.

  91. Could Homeland Security REALLY be so stupid?

I’m half-way thru your book btw — very nice read (actually I have the audio book version).

I would urge you to write another as this is such an important subject!

  92. Yousef, be aware that the Justice Dept. even refuses to identify radical Islam as an enemy of this nation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOQt_mP6Pgg). How can we fight anything if we refuses to identify the enenmy? US, for the most part, has always been an ally of Israel. But, at this time, we are certainly at the wrong side. Have you seen what they have done to Israel in the matter of this flotilla cargo happening last Friday? This administration is not only at odds with Israel, but also with the people of this nation. I should say any entities or persons who have a different view than this administration. As somebody here has pointed out, to them, the “terrorists” are not radical Islam, but the Tea Party and other so called Christian groups. In other words, ordinary Americans. We are in trouble of losing our country, our freedom, our constitution, as we know it. David Horrowitz wrote a book called Unholy Alliance. You’ll understand more what’s going on in this nation. I do believe though that God is in control, and God will not abandon His own people.

  93. […] SON OF HAMAS book author & Christian convert? Bad. Islamist nutbars galore? Good. Welcome to Obamarabia, […]

  94. Please sign this petition for Mosab by June 15 at midnight!!! Pass along the link to others. Thanks!

    http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/SaveMosab

  95. Hello Mosab,
My name is Tomer, I’m 34, I live with my wife and 2 kids in Haifa. I don’t want to talk about your past, and what the Israeli society and Palestinian society owns you. Others in this post have done it well. I’ll just say that you have given us young Israelis some hope that things can change in this crazy place, Thanks!
I want to talk about the future. I believe you have a calling, I believe that your job in history is to save countless lives, I believe you should not spend the rest of your life running, but rather have a significant place in the history of the middle east.
I’m sorry to say that Israeli and Arab leaders have not had the courage in the last 15 years to move forward in the peace process. The last real leaders where PM Rabin, and King Hussein.
Countless mistakes where made by Israeli leaders the past years. The continued Jewish settling of the west bank will make it ever harder to establish a reasonable solution. I’m a combat officer in the IDF, and in reserve, when a serve in the west bank, I see how the settlements are entangled between Palestinian villages, and how it will be difficult to draw a line.
Another example, the flotilla. Israel could not let the ships reach Gaza, our boys where attacked ruthlessly, but why did we have to play in to the transparent propaganda trap the Hamas set for us? Couldn’t we have stopped them more wisely? It does not matter how much footage of the terrorists preparing to attack and attacking we put on YouTube, the damage has been done, and the Hamas achieved their goal of humiliating us, and everyone is playing along.
What all sides need is a wise middleman, and lots of guts. You can’t do much about the guts, BUT, you can make the middleman wiser.
Since his rise to power, Pres. Obama has made all the possible mistakes that can be made in the middle-east conflict. It seems he lacks the middle-east street wisdom needed to jump-start the peace process; it seems that all his consultants are yellow (what eastern Israelis call western Israeli, Not cowards).
What he needs is someone close to commentate on the side lines, some one that understands the moves, the players, someone from that mentality. I believe his intentions are sincere, I believe he can move things if he just knew how. Mitchell in the lights, you in the shadow (nothing new for you).
I’d like you to be our ministry of foreign offers spokesman, but that would be a waste of your capabilities.
Talk to loyee, he’ll talk to his former friends, they’ll talk to Bibi, and he’ll give Obama a call.
I’m in the process of writing a hardcopy letter to Kerri from Homeland security, to convince her that she can also be written down in the pages of history, as bringing Pres. Obama the knowledge he lacks so much. She’ll have trouble deporting a White House official! Good luck, I’d love to here from you, and take care of yourself.

    Tomer

    Dear Ms. Calcador:
Let me begin by stating that I am not perfect in my knowledge of Islam and its principles. That being said, I am not ignorant nor am I a fool. I am not an Islamophobe. I am a realist who has studied documented world history of Islam leading to and including its inception. I began this intense study in 1997. I have made it an integral part of my daily routine since 9/11, 2001.
You are making a grave mistake by trying to deport a genuine Christian, Mosab Hassan Yousef, Homeland Security File# A 088 271 051. He is an asset, not a liability. I read his book, passed it on to my extended family and bought another one to pass on to some of my friends. It seems evident that you or someone in your San Diego organization picked through the manuscript of Mosab’s book that he gave you in order to find a technicality to try and deport him. As a retired teacher in the public school system, I know how government functionaries try to justify their existence in the system. To you, he is just a little case number that “justifies” someone’s salary.
I am angry with you, your boss John Brennan and his boss, Barack Hussein Obama. I am your boss; all three of you! The U.S. is a constitutional, democratic Republic; I hold you to account! I am putting you on notice; I want to fire you. Your attack is religious racism! Mr. Brennan’s NYU “Al Quds” speech on YouTube proves that Mr. Obama’s appeasement of Islamic Shari’a has been carried down into the Homeland Security Department. Your action against Mr. Yousef proves that you are also involved in this egregious and nefarious attack upon all those of us who refuse to capitulate to Islam and its demands for us to submit to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

(My signature) Everybody, do your own with passion! FLOOD HER MAILBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  98. We are with you! Thank you for all you have shared and all you have given. God bless you and your loved ones!

  99. Absolutely Ridiculous!
Someone from the inside courageously risks his life to boldly speak the truth about what is happening in an effort to protect innocent lives around the world and promote peace, and the cowardly US political establishment is going to kick him out so he can get killed?

I have young children in my American household and am concerned about their future and safety. Deporting Mr. Yousef would be a big mistake.

I have attempted several phone calls to CA HS offices but cannot get in touch with Calcador. Please everyone, call your Congresspersons and send Kerri Calcador many letters, and PRAY!

So sorry this is happening to you Joseph. We’ll do all we can of course, and ask the Lord to grant you citizenship, while also asking for peace to accept this process and final outcome as His will, either way it turns out.

  100. I just had a disturbing conversation with a clerk at the offices of Kerri Calcador and basically learned there is no way to give your thoughts on Joseph’s case. Calcador’s mail is being censored by office staff and any related correspondence is not being forwarded (thrown in the trash, I assume). There is no way to even leave her a voice mail or email message. The only contact they are giving is to a “public relations” person! Apparently the opinions of we, the degenerate citizenry, are not worthy to be considered. What happened to the American Way?
The bereaucratic arrogance in this case is incredible!

I would keep sending letters and especially attempting phone calls anyway. The phone number in the post is correct.

  104. Dear Mosab
let me start with thank you of all the things they are saying you did for Israel.
I am in the middle of reading your book (SON OF HAMAS)and i must say that in te beginning i find some facts that are not truth:
in your remark you are telling that the british goverment encourage the “flow” of hundred of thousand of Jewish immigrant’s, not truth , the british army was bloking the borders and any ship of jewish immgrents was deported to Cyprus .
In the beginning of your story you are saying thet the Jewish population was out nombers than the Arab armies, not truth: the population was samaller then the Arab population and the Arabs armi but yes they ware more decisive.
then you are telling us that 3 quarters of a Million people was escape or expelled from their houses.
in the saim chapter you are telling us that the tens of thousand who escape did not return to their home and land, well as a fact and i know it is un pleasant to touch the facts a lot of these who escape did it becouse of the Arab liders who promise them that in avery short time after the Arab armies will over ome the Jewish they could come back. and then you are saying that these unfortunate people live till today in refugee camps you “forget” to tell us that this situation is again becouse of all Arab liders how till now have a dreem to settel these refugee in the stat of Israel and if not instad of the Israelies so with them as they call it ” right of homecoming”
I hope you can accepet these remarks .
    thank you
    M Blustein

  113. Mosab,

Pamela Geller of http://www.atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/ has an article about you on her website
She says: If anyone knows Mosab …………have him contact Atlas – writeatlas@aol.com. I will help. Does he have a good lawyer specializing in apostasy?

Mosab, I hope you see my comment and contact Atlas (Pamela Geller) immediately.

  114. Joseph — Pamela Geller is looking for you. She can help.

“If anyone knows Mosab …………have him contact Atlas – writeatlas@aol.com. She can help. Does he have a good lawyer specializing in apostasy?”

  115. Dear Mosab,
I am appalled and ashamed at the attempts of Homeland Security to deport you. I am writing to Ms. Calcador and will inform others to do so as well. I am also putting you on our prayer chain. Hopefully, Ms. Calcador and others who are trying to protect our countury will see you as a valuable human being and an asset to us.

  116. Dear Mosab,

I am interestinf in your story. My name is Faisal Assegaf and I am a journalist from Koran Tempo daily, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Thus, I want to interview you by email as I requested before. I hope u still remember that. I wish you don’t mind to be interviewed. Let me know by email to faisalassegaf@yahoo.com or 62-8128379292. http://www.hamaslovers.wordpress.com.

    Thanks u.

  118. Hi Mosab,
Just reading your story now. Wow, you’ve been through a lot and I can’t believe how brave you are! I’ll continue to pray for you. Please remember that the Lord is always with you. With your courage and conviction, not to mention an amazing ability to love, you’re definitely Jesus’ kind of guy! 🙂

  119. Hi Mosab (sorry if this is a repeat – my previous message disappeared – more to do with my computer than the website I think).

Just reading your story now. Wow, you’ve been through so much and I can’t believe how brave you are! You really are an inspiration and I will continue to pray for you. Please remember the Lord is always with you, no matter what. Definitely, with your courage, convinction and an amazing ability to love, you are Jesus’ kind of guy! 🙂

  120. Dear Mosab,
I first heard your story when my pastor Greg Laurie interviewed you at a conference our church held. I was very moved by your story and it was priceless to gain some wisdom/insight into Islam from someone who has firsthand experience.
It makes me so sad to see what blindness and rejection of Jesus Christ has done to people of all nations and beliefs, but it is especially heartbreaking and frustrating to see what it has done in the Middle East; as I admittedly did not know too much about aside from the basics before I read your book.
I just finished your book today (great read, informative & moving!) and was saddened to learn of my country’s intent on deporting you. I actually wasn’t sure I’d get to reading the book just yet but of course, the Lord has other plans! Just another example of His perfect timing in my opinion because now that I know I will surely be praying for your upcoming hearing this month!
I pray the Lord comforts you with His peace that surpasses understanding (Phil 4:7) and delivers you from this situation! Regardless of the outcome, what a victory that you can rest safely as one of His sheep that cannot be snatched from His hand (John 10:28).
I hope you do not get discouraged by those who insist on saying bad and hurtful things to or about you because as evidenced by this blog you have many who support and love you as a brother in Christ and of course, you have the love of the greatest One of all who is Love! 🙂
May the Lord bless you and keep you and continually show you more of Himself and His love every day!
    Love in Christ,
    Kimberly

  121. I called Kerri’s office. Told to contact Public Affairs (which is a way of brushing everyone off.) I spoke to her manager. I was repectful and stated that I wanted to understand the Chain of Command so that I can exercise my rights as a citizen in a democratic, republic. He suggested I contact my Congressman. I don’t believe any of our Congressmen/women will have power to influence this, or a desire to do so. There is a Congressional Committee over Homeland Security. I think that only the Republican representatives will be responsive. The Democratic representatives will have the same viewpoint that the Head of Homeland Security does, Janet Napolitano, which views christians as a security threat. Homeland Security is under the Justice Department. Does anyone have contacts in the Justice Department? Has there been any success regarding the media, Fox News etc? Can the publisher Tyndell help? Can we get an update from Joseph? I don’t believe putting pressure on Kerri or her office does anything. I asked them if there positions we appointed, or elected. They said neither, they are positions that are filled like other government workers. The people that are going to be responsive are elected official that feel the pressure from citizens. Tyndell can you respond please?

  122. My brother Mosab, only today I wrote to your Tyndale email address, but after reading this blog entry I feel compelled to write a comment here. If only I were an American citizen I would have started a petition on your behalf. I am an Australian citizen, however. But I will pray for you and ask my friends to pray for you. I do not know what else to do. What they are doing to you is unjust and my heart is exploding with anger. But I am praying for you. Our Father is greater than the so-called Homeland Security. He has you, his child, in His hands. The devil will not have his way with your life. And know that those that pray for you are not limited to the United States. Your book is featured in my local bookstore, and I am certain at least a few others will try to find out about you, about your circumstances and pray for you.

  123. Mosab, I first heard of you through amanpourCNN on that notorious interview. I met Tass Saada at a Messianic Congregation in the town I live and he said he knows you when i asked about you. I am in a process of a greencard myself. I’ve been through many fire furnaces and still waiting for the final decision. We choose America ’cause we don’t have family behind us, each one with different reasons, but we choose America for we love the way they are around a table meal, the way they treat their friends, the dreams and hopes that come to fulfillment as they grow into adults. We love America for its Justice for their Citizens. Many times I asked God, why I wasn’t born here? I love this country and dream about it since I was 12.
Then, I got my answer. It came with age and wisdom. When you’re not a part of the cake you value what is around in the table. You realize the flaws in the cake and in everything else served in that table. No nationality whatsoever should be considered example for humanity. We all have our flaws as human beings and the best part of being a national of any country is to belong to Jesus. In Jesus there are no Blacks, or Jews, or Philipinos, or Brasilians.
He is the best part in us. I want to say to you I share the same anxiety of being accepted and welcomed in this country, that you are facing now. But the tribulation you are going through is brief and will produce eternal weight of Glory.
For The One that called you to His Knowledge and Freedom has accepted you before the foundation of the Earth, to Him be The Glory. If He chooses to let you be killed by the fundamentalists of Islam that consider you a infidel, your blood will be pleasing to His sight. As Paul The Apostle said, I am willing to go to Jerusalem and die for Christ if necessary. If He chooses the contrary it will be His Will. The authorities in DHS and the Judges at USCIS are men and women chosen by God and established to this appointed time when you and me, true Christians with the desire to manifest and propagate The Word of The Lord, are waiting for their decision, guided by God, for us to stay or leave. In your case, even die or live. I share with you this Cross.
Like when Jesus was presented the chance to contradict and defend Himself before Pilate and He chose to tell Him: No authority would be given unto you that does not come from My Father. But those who surrendered me to you have more guilt.
It’s obvious you are innocent and entitled to asylum. But if you are to be deported, He has your life as a precious treasure.
Let God decide.. He knows what He wants from us in this country and in this world.

  124. Brother Mosab, this is the fourth time that I am sending you a message today. Sorry if that is too often. I am just reminded of the apostle Paul, who was arrested and imprisoned unjustly, and intended to appeal to Caesar. Earlier I read someone comparing you to the apostle Paul. Perhaps God has allowed this to happen to you, so that like the apostle Paul, your message will be heard by people in the high places of the United States. In a way, the injustice that is befalling you has only motivated many of us that know about it to share with others your testimony, and the message that Christ has given you, which cannot be separated from your life story. I pray, however, that your work does not end the way Paul’s ended. At least, not in the next… fifty years? I believe God has still much work for you to do. If the American government is too cowardly to accept you, just as Aggripa and Felix were towards the apostle Paul, come to Australia. Our home is open to you, and our hospitality will be yours.

  125. At least Evil can be opposed wereas it seems that it might be difficult to relate to utter STUPIDITY whithout feel stuped yourself.

  126. Once an Arab student overheard on conversation I had in a bus. before we got up she said: “If you Jews would have found even one stone that prove you were once here, it would be in all the newspapers”.

What should I have doen? give the girl a list of museums?

Dealling with utter ignorance and/or stupidity can indeed make you feel there is no commen groung for normal dialogue.

In any case, I’m sure the deal with homeland secutiry will workout in your case. I hope the implications will go much further than that.

  130. Brother in Christ – I saw the Epicenter Conference this weekend. Your story and love for our Lord touches those who hear it. I will continue to pray for you as I have for the past two years since your interview on Fox News.

God’s Word for you today is Psalms 27:7-14 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me.
Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Praise to our God, and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

  131. auntieem, how appropriate. Many people are praying for you, Mosab.

  132. Continue to be strong and courageous, Joseph! For the Lord your God is with you to help you. He (Jesus Christ) Himself said, I will never leave you nor foresake you. Therefore, we can boldly say, What can man do to me.

We prayd for you, my brother.

PS: Choose your words wisely … You have every right to feel outraged, but this word carries somewhat negative connotation. Deeply troubled or shocked could be alternatives to consider.

  133. God Bless you my Brother Mosab, I pray all will go great for you on June 30th, you will be in my prayers. If you are ever in Chicago, let me know I will take you out for some Puerto Rican food. I’m a runner so maybe will go do a few miles together and fellowship. You have helped Israel and God has said ” I will Bless those who Bless you, and I will curse him who curses you” Thank you. In Jesus Christ Mighty Name you be Blessed. Amen !

  134. Mosab…

I know you may not have faith in the “system” but realize many of us americans feel the same way. At the risk of being too forward, I live locally and would love to meet you for lunch some day to just say thanks! If I never hear from you, the THANKS still applies and know my family is praying for you!

  135. I have been tweeting about your plight, and trying to call attention to it to everyone I know. Yousef, I fear you have become a political pawn of an anti-American administration (i.e. the Obama administration). Here is one whose middle name is Hussein, who bows down to despots and dictators, who is purposely driving the economy off a cliff, who refuses to secure our national borders, who has recently sent $400 million of our tax dollars to Gaza (I wonder whose hands that money will end up in), who has given whose Secretary of State is personally indebted to Arab states (financial partnerships of her husband), whose entrance to Harvard Law School was facilitated by (and in all likelihood financed by, but the sham President refuses to disclose his records to the American people) Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, whose current Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan advocated against suing the Saudi royal family for financing the 9/11 terrorists…???

We live in dangerous times. Wake up, America. The wolf is not at the door, the wolf is in the Oval Office!

Yousef, I pray that God will protect you despite the grave situation our nation is currently in (without even knowing it).

Please, if you have needs — for legal representation, financial assistance, moral support, physical protection — make these known so that we can help you.

  136. I cannot be in San Diego tomorrow morning, but I will be praying. Do you have representation? Please, do not say anything to antagonize them that they can turn around and use against you.

  137. Mosab
I read ur book and I have been following ur story closely . I wanted to fly to san diego for ur trial but i had to work today. i have been praying for you , and I would love to meet you God bless and inte habeeebeee!!!!

  138. Mosab,
Please know that I am praying for you. It is almost 8am in San Diego, and I am there in spirit. I am here in San Diego and not able to make it today. But my family and I are praying for you. Thank you for standing firm for Him!

  140. “Is it personal, racial, political, or just stupidity?”

It is Satanic. Why else would Israel and the harmless, and the wise be under attack? I am and have been praying for you, Mosab! Our God is greater than Satan and all of the false gods of the nations. Israel is the only everlasting nation, and you, my brother, have chosen wisely. God and Truth is your Defender–you need no other. “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but safety is of the LORD”! Praise God, He never leaves us!! I have been looking to see what the results of the hearing were…I wish I knew how to get this info. I called and they told me it was over. Godspeed, my brother, and may you continue for His glory, His Kingdom, and the good of the masses of lost souls everywhere! THANK YOU!! I THANK YOU for telling the truth!! THANK YOU for the kindness you’ve shown to so many! THANK YOU for allowing God to be mighty in and through you!! THANK YOU! I praise the God of the universe for you!

  141. Dear Mosab,

I am thanking our Heavenly Father because He answered all our prayers! I have been praying for you every day and night since I read your blog about this outrageous injustice. I am so glad that all the (faulty, horrible) charges were dropped, so you do not even have to be bothered with an appeal! I am a naturalized citizen of this Country, so very glad to be, and I am so very relieved that justice prevailed. I am now looking forward to welcome you as a fellow U.S. citizen! God Bless You again and Congratulations Again!! And Thank You for your great book, which is now one of my most favorite. Thank You for all you have done to help Good against Evil. “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matt.5:9) “When a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord … even his enemies live at peace with him.” (Prov. 16:7)

  142. Praise God our Father! He is Mighty indeed!! I am so happy that you were granted asylum. He is Faithful! <

  143. I just heard the news. Hallelujah! Thank You, Lord Jesus, for answering out prayers on behalf of our brother in Christ, Yousef!

God is good, God is great. His love endures forever.

  144. I just heard the news! Congratulations! Thank God!

  145. Praise the Lord, dear brother! I heard today on FOX news you’ve been granted asylum. May the Lord continue to open doors to allow you to help our country and further His Kingdom!

  151. Hello,
I hope your hearing went well.
I leave in Israel, and remember many of the events you are talking about.
I do hope that peace will come to the middle east, and convinced, as you are, that more violence will not bring it sooner, but later.

I hope you will manage to enjoy future years with peace and happiness.

  152. Thank you for being faithful to share what God has done in your life. Listening to your heart for your homeland and people is provoking. I long to hear people speak of His heart for Muslims and not hatred. Everyone goes through different experiences and is able to see God’s heart in a different way: these are the revelations that we must share with each other so that we can see His heart in an even broader light. This is why I say thank you for sharing…I know I needed to hear someone explain what you had explained for both my own sanity and greater understanding.

Do not withhold what the Lord has prompted your heart to do; see that He is faithful in all things, and that He is faithful to deliver. We can live on the offense because He has already won the battle, fear is no longer a problem for those who place their trust in Him. Do not forget Jeremiah 1.

  153. my God, i thought you were going to chip in with some decisive insght at the end there, not leave it with ‘we leave it to you to decide’.

  154. I will be praying for you. You are an inspiration! God bless you.

  155. Dear Mosab
I’ve read your book and I feel it’s given me a much more balanced view on the middle east. Thank you for that. I’m praying for your mum.Revelation 3:18-20 comes to mind.
